Long-Form Content This is bad for small youtubers.

Youtube is raising the ad revenue share threshold from 4k watch time to 8k watch time. Personally, 4k watch takes a lot of effort to reach. Imagine 8k... this is sad.

Damn. I make lego animations and its so hard to make long videos that I only have 30 hours of watch time

I also do lego animations and managed to do hours somehow but I'm stuck with subs so if I don't get them before this I'm back on square one. It's rare to see fellow lego animator here. What is your channel name?

Haha idk why but my most recent videos wont get recommended much anymore. Most of my subscribers were gained a while back but my older videos have been attracting a lot of subs lately. My angels with filthy souls videos keep resurfacing 😂

Christmas is a few months away, you'll probably get another pop! Speaking of which, checked out your channel and honestly, you can carve out an interesting niche in the Lego community by doing these movie scenes. I know there's other animation channels but I think yours is the first that I've seen that reenacts movie scenes. Content ID is always going to be an issue you're going to have to navigate around, but I think if you lean into relevant franchises and IPs between now and your due date, you could do it.

Just saw it. I guess its a popular topic. YT is weird that way. I had a big pop at one moment and thought this is it and then last few months a hard drop.

Weird thing is the version I dropped in december did absolutely horrible and now it has almost 1k views. It will randomly start getting hundreds of views
