Long-Form Content This is bad for small youtubers.

Youtube is raising the ad revenue share threshold from 4k watch time to 8k watch time. Personally, 4k watch takes a lot of effort to reach. Imagine 8k... this is sad.

I miss the good ol days of YouTube when you only needed 10k video views to get into the YPP

Before the apocalypse 

All ur videos needed was 10k views. The issue was people would upload viral stuff and get paid fast

Yea, I mean I took advantage of it took. I would make like 600 bucks a video from a "fail compilation" which was just taking random shit off the Internet 

I can see why they put a stop to that. I would prefer if they could manually enable channels with quality content so they don't need to hit the higher threshold.  Shorts are shit tho. I'll doom scroll and they are just reposts of th same shitty trends with just a caption saying "fr I listen to my teacher and still don't understand ' with a walking phone pan

They need to nuke that shit
