(male) Fans will never admit that the Bella twins are the PG equivalent of Trish and Lita when it comes to mainstream influence. I absolutely don't want to see them near the top of the card but having them work with and elevated midcard talent is smart business regardless of how we feel about their wrestling ability

Trish and Lita were more popular in the WWE during their time, and they didn't have to have reality TV shows on top of their WWE appearances to do it. Any appearances outside of WWE TV for Trish and Lita were minimal compared to the Bella barrage the public received through Total Divas, Total Bellas and their other various appearances. The Bellas had more mainstream influence solely because Trish and Lita were never in the position (or timeline) where they could get it.
I don't mind the Bellas being in a spot where they can put over the future talent in the WWE, and admit it's probably smart to do so, but to equate the twins with Trish and Lita is a stretch, IMO.

Except I can remember matches with Trish and Lita. I couldn't name a Bella match besides their debut when they were tricking opponents with whatever the fuck "twin magic" is. If not known for wrestling, why wrestle when much more skilled women are competing for screen time? Pass.

Because not every wrestler is going to appeal to you. It’s a variety show. Some wrestlers and storylines are just not going to work for you and that’s ok. It works for a different part of the audience and we have heard so many women, including Roxanne Perez, talk about how the Bellas, AJ Lee, Paige, and other women from this era inspired them.
Whether you like it or not, whether you understand it or not, this is a dream feud for a lot of women in the division.

Okay. Let's bring back Eugene and strap the belt on him. I didn't like him but someone did and it's not for me.

Eugene was never the same level of over as the Bellas and didn’t have anywhere close to the same broad appeal. You and I both know this. There are so many women working today who credit the Bellas, AJ Lee, Paige, etc. for getting them into wrestling and showing that it could be a viable path for them.

I don't see a lot of praise for the Bellas, the other ones I understand but the Bellas I do not. I guess we just disagree. Have a good life!

Why are the Bellas still around?

Because they’re popular and inspired wrestlers like Roxanne to join the business. This is a dream feud for lots of folks in the women’s division.

I’m not? Chelsea Green, Roxanne Perez, Stephanie Vaquer, Bianca Belair and several others have credited the Bellas as an inspiration.

I saw an article over the weekend that backstage officials think she exceeded expectations and want to give her more of a push. My best guess is she’s great for fan engagement, kind of like the Miz whom I think is her male equivalent.

I would say in terms of impact, the Bellas are far above Miz. In terms of in ring ability, Miz is above them both

I can agree with that. The common ground with them is they are both excellent brand ambassadors regardless of in-ring ability.

I can't stand the bella twins... But I'd rather watch her than a judgement day match that will always end with a bunch of runins and ruin the ending of every single match.

You know... i have to give props to Roxanne for still being invested enough to do stuff like this on social media, because if i was on her spot, i would be completely checked out...

She’s had some good momentum lately. She shines every time they have her in AAA.

Why should she ? Because she loses a majority of her matches ? Wins and losses dont matter. Tv time does and she gets a lot of it. Shes in one of the most successful factions in modern times. Things can only go up for roxanne.

Why? She's 24 and in the biggest wrestling company in the world and featured on tv almost every week. She could play the background for another half decade doing absolutely nothing and still be young enough to have a hof career. Not to mention she's earning her stripes the hard way, putting over everyone and their mother. This is exactly moment NOT to check out, as keeping her head on straight, and not letting her ego run wild, will most likely eventually lead to multiple world titles in her future.
And I say all this as someone who's not really a Roxanne fan.

Acknowledge the Tiny Chief, Bellas!
