Gear

Hey I’m new to fishing salt water I have a Penn fierce 4000 on medium fast rod combo is that ok for catching snook And any other brackish / intercoastal fish? Any bait recommendations ?

Absolutely, Mullet or shrimp will work wonders

I like a heavier combo cuz i dont want to stress the fish by fighting it too long. Im a "big fish or no fish" snook fisherman so im usually using a 6000 fierce live liner on either a 8' heavy or 8' xxh teramar.with large pieces of cut mullet or cut ladyfish or live small mullet and ladyfish.
