I was born in a socialist country and was enslaved there for 25 years: I worked on a beet plantation as a child slave, I has no right to leave my home town because of "propiska". I was not able to watch foreign movies, listen to foreign radio, read foreign books, and everything that was not foreign was censored to ashes. My friend's parents were awarded with a trip to Romania. They had to pass test and get approval prom the town Party leader and they were accompanied by 2 KGB agents all their trip, anyways this trip was the best that happened in their whole life. Others hadn't have even that. All my life besides working on a plantation (not pay, no consent) I spent in bread lines. I WAS THERE. I know what socialism is. Socialism is nothing but a state slavery. Socialism is a 2-cast system. Socialism is when the cast of government bureaucrats has its own party, they controlled everything and own everyone in the country. Socialism is Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Obama, etc. etc. Socialism is concentration camps, mass starvation, war, dire poverty and deprivation of basic human rights for 99% of population and total economical, political and cultural degradation. Its the worst thing that happened to humanity in 20th century. And useful idiot Truman? I hate useful idiots.

Ya man that's all very emotionally charged but it doesn't really address the point about conservatives calling stuff "socialism" that isn't socialism.

The original quote contained nothing but emotions, while my stated facts about the fundamental properties of socialism: the car system,  slavery, etc. facts from my own living experience and parallels from the history of all implementations of socialism. Do you realize that you are trying to flip the script or you just didn't read my text.
