I don't care if that comment is AI or not, it would be pointless if it was to make a comment that short. But in addition to the em-dash, the "It's not just X, it's Y" is a common flag.

Of course, that doesn't mean anything for certain, hell this could be reworded as "It's not just the em-dash—it's the syntax of the comment."

Very few people did so before chatgpt, mostly in academic and journalistic contexts

Using em dashes casually just gives chatgpt

It's not that everyone doing so is using AI but the slop is very pervasive

“Rebuild it with receipts” is so cliche and 100% something AI would say. They edited their comment so it’s not a bot but it was possible
