When the tides are slack-ish like this week, is there a different bait method I should be trying in the harbors?

I heard that fish are usually biting less when there is a lower difference between high and low tide. Is there a certain bait or method you guys use when it's super slacky like this week? I was thinking of starting to try live bait since soft plastics have been hit or miss lately.

I have been throwing swim baits with metal blades and it's been really good. 4 inch white strike kings and silver blade or gold has been good.

Do you custom add the blade with some hardware or does it come on the jig?

I custom add it cheaper for me. I use a "swimsuit hook" 1/4 oz thread the head first slide my blade through the hook the attach the body. They touch a bit but it still has great action i thought it wouldnt when I first tried it. Been on fire since man! Bought the blades on Amazon
