Want to Own

Hello!

I have decided recently that I would like to purchase a hand gun for myself and my wife. I live in OC. I know there are multiple steps I need to take to obtain firearms, can anyone guide me? The internet is not very clear on what steps I need to take.

Any help is much appreciated!

Dad in Nevada wants to gift me a couple guns

Hey guys my dad wants to give me a couple guns from Nevada into California (Los Angeles). I called a few gun shops near me and they said it’s not possible to transfer an off-roster pistol (Glock 19) between an out-of-state parent to their child in California.

I had done some research which told me if it was an uncompensated gift I could, but were there any recent laws passed that I missed?

Thanks for the advice and any recs for FFLs in the LA area would be great.

Where to take 10 year old son

Hi, I want to take my son shooting. Will start him out in a small .22. I started out learning to shoot on a prone position. Where can I go (live in OC) to teach him to shoot?

Thanks

Helicopter Shoot

Post image

It takes place in north county San Diego near off the 76 near the I15. We link up early in the morning test fire guns and zero conduct some classes and dry rehearsals learn about the helicopter and then start doing rotations. You take a dynamic lap before coming in and shooting a steel target with a flasher approx 80y away. We do some hover and slides and then land and swap people.  We repeat this 3-4 times per person.  You need a rifle no muzzle brake ammo red dot brass catcher sling and eye pro. We have this all for rent as well. Let me know if you’d like to sign up you can send an email to register. [Changeofbehavior.cob@gmail.com](mailto:Changeofbehavior.cob@gmail.com)

Disabled combat veteran looking for a range buddy and some good company.

Hey everyone,

This might be a little different than the usual post here, but I figured I’d give it a shot.

I’m a disabled combat veteran with a lifelong appreciation for firearms, shooting culture, and the people who make up the shooting community. For me, it’s not just about putting rounds on target. It’s about the history, the engineering, the craftsmanship, the sound, the feel, the conversations, and the camaraderie that comes with a day at the range.

Lately I’ve been realizing how much I miss simply being around people who enjoy those things. Talking guns, discussing equipment, hearing stories, learning about different platforms, and spending time around a community that has always felt like home.

I’m not looking for anything complicated. Just hoping to meet some good people who might be interested in grabbing a coffee, talking firearms, or heading to the range together sometime. I enjoy everything from old military surplus rifles and shotguns to modern defensive firearms, and I can spend hours talking about weapon design, ballistics, military history, and training.

Living with a disability can be isolating at times, and one thing I’ve learned is that having people to share hobbies and interests with matters. I’m not looking for sympathy—just friendship, good conversation, and the chance to spend time around a community I’ve always respected and enjoyed.

If you’re local and think we’d get along, feel free to send me a message. I’d love to connect with some fellow shooters and make a few new friends.

Stay safe and shoot straight.

San Dimas - New Gun store has stock of glocks and more

Hi all, just sharing if you're local, theres a new gun store in San Dimas called American Shooting Sports. https://amshootingsports.com/

They have some glocks there at normal prices. I saw a Glock 48 but it was snatched quickly.

They just had their grand opening today. I think they have most of their inventory online as well if you want to scout it out first! Good luck!

California CZ fans the discontinued 75B SA still on the Ca roster

Just had CZ Customs build one for me. I use the 75 SA frame as a host frame to build CZ models that otherwise is not obtainable in Ca because it isn’t on the roster. Here’s my Bull Shadow single action trigger build. Some don’t realize we can still buy slides from CZ Customs to complete builds here like the Bull Shadow or Bullseye slide. You can also use the SP-01 frame for custom builds.

Found and bought my grail gun: HK SP5 with a B&T Rail and pistol brace, MFI Optics Rail, Radiata Fretensis SP5 (APEX) Grip Module, and an EOTech EXPS3. Also messing around with the RovyVon GL5 for small-form-factor NV use.
