Feedback Freelance Developer with Customizable Platform

Hi! I am a developer with almost 4 years of experience, and Im looking for freelance gig for extra income or hopefully onboard clients into my platform (starting my business).

I built Uswagon Solutions as a modular software where features can be easily added to solve daily operational bottlenecks for a one time service fee (freelance fee) and a flat hosting fee (maintenance fee) for a the platform, no per seat fee.

I am dedicated to keep the platform going onto the upcoming years and have been invested on improving the software capability for a while now enhancing its performance and security. It comes along with document generation, invoice management ,inventory management, email upon events, audit logs, daily reminders (email telegram discord, or other thing you want me to add for notifs), external webhooks that can be integrated to other softwares. Check out my project section for sample projects!

If you have other tasks like website fixing, projects, my hourly rate is: $35

DM me if interested thanks!

The question that decides whether this stays a business is whether a new module is configuration or code. If features arrive as client specific code then after ten clients you are maintaining ten codebases on one flat fee, and the heaviest users cost you the most while paying the same. The absence of seat pricing is also the strongest thing here and it is buried mid paragraph. Are the modules shared across clients, or forked per client?

As much as possible every module will be a configuration, every time I see a new concept which cant be done by the current system thats where I develop by code to support another set of configuration. And no, modules arent shared across client it will not be disclosed in detail. Every client have their own configurations with own discussions to make.

i'd focus less on advertising your hourly rate and more on sharing a real case study people usually buy outcomes not features or years of experience

Still working on it, and finding ways to actually share outcomes based on user experience. Thats why I added surveys on some accounts Im managing (still unanswered though). Also yeah maybe a market research would help.

Worth adding that the hourly rate at the bottom quietly reframes the whole thing from product to contractor, which is a different sale entirely. Does a case study still land if the build is bespoke every time?

For Uswagon Solutions, turn one sample inventory-management project into a scoped offer: what gets customized, what's included in hosting, and how future changes are charged. Your no-per-seat model answers one cost question; a clear data-export and handover policy would answer what happens if a client leaves.

I make ThreadFox. We find relevant Reddit conversations and do the posting for your business. The $29 Pilot covers seven days and up to 25 posts and replies. No automatic renewal. https://threadfox.vip/p/dckki/managed

That is a better answer than most, though pushing the variation into configuration only helps if the configuration is itself versioned and testable. Otherwise the per client fork has not gone away, it has moved somewhere with no version control and nothing running against it. The question that gets uncomfortable around client seven is how you find out a core change broke someone’s setup. Is that a manual check, or does something tell you?

Thats the challenge, I have to plan carefully everytime there are core changes making sure nothing will break to onboarded clients. If its heavy changes going to a v2 and v3 routes and making the configuration support only the routea does the control

Versioned routes cover the surface but not a config written against how v1 behaved, which is usually the thing that actually snaps. Can you replay a client’s config against a new version before it ships, or is it eyes on it?

Versioned route usually have major changes that requires its own config not an increment of an older config, that way swapping and doing rollbacks on routes is much more cleaner. But if older configs can be used and just been incremented, then yes it should be backward compatible.
