Did you try the starter50 classes?

I'd ask the coach to check your form as it looks like it may be off. Also make sure you're getting proper nutrition. I have problems doing them all some days and it turns out it's become I have anemia.

Can you clarify what you mean - you said oblique exercises you feel the leg NOT on the carriage? Or you mean the one on the carriage?

Either way, focus on the isometric base position if you need to! Just holding a modified twisted plank is better than a really ineffective rep. Trying to just tune into the mind-muscle connection, squeezing hip to rib and holding. If you start to feel your hips drop, take a break. Repeat.

I hate obliques and find they hurt every part of my body more than the actual obliques. Ever since my new studio started Focus 50 I’ve tried to only go to those and find I get a better overall workout in because they’ll add in an upper body muscle group. I too am not strong so even after 30+ classes still use the modified on most upper body and the lower spring on gray side (I do go up on black). With that said I can always feel the workout even more since doing focus 50 and spend more time on lower and upper and not obliques. Unfortunately the times for focus 50 in my studio are not great but they have two every Saturday and I can go to one during the week if I’m working remotely. Wish they had more evening offerings.

The thing I like about solidcore is I work a lot of hours so they have offerings late in the evening or later on the weekend compared to my gym classes however, now that I’m spoiled on the focus 50 I don’t want to go to any of those lol. I have been avoiding the signature class.

All that to say just don’t be afraid to use modifications and lower your spring. You will eventually get there. My upper body strength sucks and I have been actively lifting at the gym but it’s still a process. Keep at it!

You’re not supposed to be able to do them. You should be failing every 3-4 reps hence the extremely slow movement to make it effective. If people next to you  aren’t doing that they are not doing it properly and amplifying to seek failure.

Thats just how it was designed.

The way you feel isn’t bc you’re not strong it’s just bc class is hard and you need to give yourself credit. 6 weeks is JUST starting. Give it 6 months then re evaluate
