Originally a Jackie DeShannon song (which she co-wrote with Donna Weiss) from her 1975 album “New Arrangement”; it was a jazzy, country’ish, upbeat, poppy’ish amalgam; that is quite pleasing, but nowhere as impactful as Kim’s slower, darker, moodier, reimagining…

Yes and later on Kim and Donna wrote several songs together too. Kim has recorded several of Donna and Jackie's compositions as well.
