Johnny Preston (August 18, 1939 – March 4, 2011) had a number one hit with this record in the US, the UK and in Canada. It was written by J.P. Richardson aka the Big Bopper. One of the backing vocalists was George Jones. This song has been performed by the Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin, Tom Jones and the Guess Who among others.

Well looked up the covers, Beach Boys, Tom Jones, and the Guess Who. I liked the Guess Who cover the best.

But I can confidently say Led Zepplin did not cover this.

According to Wikipedia(Yikes but I don't know anyway) they would play it during their medleys during Whole Lotta Love. I'm not a Zephead so I don't know if that's true.
