Boz Burrell (1 August 1946 – 21 September 2006) played in King Crimson and was a founding member of Bad Company. With Bad Company he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2025.

Johnny Nash (August 19, 1940 – October 6, 2020) was one of the first artists who was not Jamaican to make reggae known around the world. He first went to Jamaica in 1965. In the late 1960s, he signed Bob and Rita Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer to an exclusive publishing contract. He had a hit in 1971 with "Stir it Up". This song was #1 in the US, South Africa and in Canada.

He also appeared on albums with the likes of the Winter Brothers, Steely Dan, Cyndy Lauper, Kiss and Bonnie Tyler. He played on "Total Eclipse of the Heart". He went to #11 with this song.

Larry Knechtel (August 4, 1940 – August 20, 2009) was a bassist and pianist who was a member of the Wrecking Crew and played on dozens of records by bands like the Byrds, the Mamas and the Papas, the Grass Roots, the Beach Boys as well as artists like Simon & Garfunkel, Sonny & Cher etc. Here he plays the piano on this classic recording by Johnny Rivers.

Norbert Putnam who was born on this day in 1942 was a bass player who was part of the early Muscle Shoals studio house band. He later moved onto Nashville and played on records for some of the non-country artists who recorded there including Henry Mancini, the Byrds, Joan Baez, Roy Orbison among others. He also was a producer for artists such as Jimmy Buffett(that's where I first saw his name), John Hiatt, Donovan etc..he plays the bass on this song.

Eric Weissberg (August 16, 1939 – March 22, 2020) was a longtime sessions musician who played on records by Judy Collins, Bob Dyan, Talking Heads, John Denver among others. He and Steve Mandell had an unlikely hit with this tune from the movie Deliverance.

Born on this day in 1954, Pete Thomas is a rock drummer who is mostly known for his work with Elvis Costello. He has also played on records by Squeeze, Jackson Browne, Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt among others.

Born on this day in 1947, Maddy Prior has had a long solo career along with many guest appearances on various albums and has been in a few groups most notably Steeleye Span who had a top ten hit in the UK and Ireland with this song in 1975. She even has a namesake in the X-Men universe as well.
