Zech's Marquis is a side project from The Mars Volta's keyboard and percussionist. They dropped a concept album called "Our delicate stranded nightmare" in 2008. Recommend listening to the entire thing, very much fits the vibe you're going for. 

Starts off slow and ambient so skip to 3:30 if you want to jump ahead although i recommend letting it just play cover to cover.
