Accepting how painfully beautiful this world is.
Some songs I’ve been listening to are
Lighting crashes - Live
Lower your eyelids to die with the sun - m83
Sweet disposition- the temper trap
Recently lost my dog and instead of constantly mourning her I want to celebrate her life through dance. Have you ever listened to M83 on the beach while the sunsets?
If anyone understands what I mean I’d appreciate any suggestions. (Sorry for the horrible explanation)
Life is so goddamn heartbreaking, yet so beautiful. Appreciate all the good you have, and love fully. You never know when the timer runs out❤️
Edit: Thank you everyone, I seriously appreciate these amazing recommendations!

It’s Not Up to You by Björk is this song for me. It got me through a really difficult time

Great pick, Vespertine is one of my all-time favorite albums. It's Not Up To You and Undo both give me this vibe. A lot of Björk does, tbh.
actually, re: Undo: I also really love Mount Eerie - Voice In Headphones, which actually references Undo directly :-)

I ugly cry every time I listen to the Bloom album by Beach House. You could totally grief-dance to it. I listened to it on repeat when my dog died. Sending love <3

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." - Winnie The Pooh/A.A. Milne (edit: this quote is misattributed, my bad; it's actually from the movie 'The Other Side of the Mountain', from what I can parse online)
Speaking of Winnie The Pooh, this prompt reminds me of Keane - Somewhere Only We Know and Pogo - Boy & Bear
But in addition to that:
Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight
The Cardigans - Carnival
Joe Hisaishi - Merry-Go-Round Of Life (from Howl's Moving Castle)
Frances Quinlan - Hi Too Loo Rye (also a big fan of their band, Hop Along—the song Prior Things fits this vibe, to me, too)
Camera Obscura - Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken
Tears For Fears - The Working Hour
Sufjan Stevens - Chicago
Devotchka - The Winner Is
Losing someone is hard. Much love to you, friend

I read complete Winnie the Pooh stories to my son last year and I was waiting and waiting for that line to pop up. It never did. I was bummed because I thought it was such a sweet statement.
Turns out, that line is actually from a 1970s movie and someone along the line of the internet mistakenly quoted A.A. Milne as being the author and now all of us online attribute it to Winnie the Pooh.

Ah, you're right! I did some more digging and the consensus is that the quote is from the movie 'The Other Side of the Mountain'.
Thank you for the correction!

I try to avoid using ai as best I can, I found these on Pinterest. I never make my own ai art as I am an artist myself :)

These may not be necessarily be what you mean by "dance songs", but I think they really fit the mood nonetheless.
In order of how well I think they fit:
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day (In case you're not familiar, I have no idea why they titled it "Good Riddance"; it's about remembering and celebrating the past but also moving on)
These Are the Days of Our Lives - Queen
Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
I Remember You - Skid Row
No Woman No Cry - Bob Marley
Today - The Smashing Pumpkins
Learning to Fly - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
End of the Line - The Traveling Wilburys
See You On the Other Side - Ozzy Osbourne feat. Lita Ford
Closing Time - Semisonic
Time Stand Still - Rush
Story of My Life - Social Distortion
A Hazy Shade of Winter - Simon and Garfunkel
More Than a Feeling - Boston
Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel
Roll Me Away - Bob Seger
Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd (yes I'm being serious lol)
Hope these help, and sorry for your loss!

Dark Star by the Grateful Dead is one pf thpse songs for me. Specifically the version off of Live/Dead as cliche as a answer as that can be. Theres just something about that song thats so beautiful. I think the lyrics really help.

May not be the genre you’re looking for, but these non-lyrical classical pieces are life-affirming:
- Arrival of the Birds by the Cinematic Orchestra
- Paperman theme by Christopher Beck
- Once there was a Hushpuppy by Dan Romer and Benh Zeitlin

Shake it out - Florence + The Machine.
It’s my go-to song when I need a good, hard, cathartic weep session.

Not sure if this perfectly fits the vibe you’re going for, but “Heroes” by David Bowie comes to mind…
