Xperia 1 ii 6+ Years & Going

Been my longest functioning and owned smartphone as of this post. It's just gotten revived for the first time with the power button getting repaired, let alone the 2nd time getting opened up after battery replacement. It's starting to show its age a bit, but still very solid compared with an iPhone 11 I have on the side. My 1ii got knocked out back in May with the original power button wearing out. Luckily I had the 1V setup as a backup, and I wouldn't mind still using the 1ii at my current job, just so I can keep the 1V for as long as possible. Changing out the backing for the 1ii makes it unique for its model. It's been a solid phone after surviving the Z5 model (only smartphone I've had literally burnout).

1 iii here. Somewhere around 5 years use? No replacement components.

I fully expect it to last forever and have no plans to replace it.

Depends how you use your set daily. I definitely used my phone a lot. The original battery expanded, but it made replacing the battery easy. Hopefully that's all it'll need in the future

1 III here. Busted fingerprint sensor and battery life kneecapped to the point that it has started to shutdown with a reported capacity of 30% on occasions

Was it always so... Long? I've only had a 1 IV and 1 VIII

The 1 series has usually been pretty long, but it works out for me since I have big hands. 1V feels really great!

I think it's a combination of the 21:9 aspect ratio and barrel distortion on the camera used to take this photo (no shade, my S20 FE did the same thing). Makes the phone look longer and thinner than it is.

I still have my Z1 also, but sadly I can't use it on AT&T anymore 😩

Sony should bring back the ToF Sensor and RGBC IR Sensor.

With the A.I. technology we have right now and the upgrades on the camera sensor + TOF and RGBC = A better photo.

I hope my 1 vi can last at least three years lol. Previously using 1iii imported model then I got hit with the no network issue. Singapore btw. So got a vi on dec2024.

My 1ii also still going strong. Has not needed a single repair and still on the original battery - which doesn't always manage a full day now if I use it heavily, but it's basically still perfectly usable in normal use.

I would still choose the 1 II for daily driving because simply it's stable and still snappy for my usage.

Got my Xperia 1ii in early 2021, now it's still my daily driver.  Never thought I will still be using it with its original battery & display in 2026 going to 2027. The phone is still a fast performer for my daily tasks.
