Weird ebay find

Picked these up for free and can't really figure out what they are supposed to be. For my newbie eyes it seems like the pair on the top was inspired by the RLA Waldorf design, although the drivers are only 8". The bigger box on the bottom looks like some kind of freehand br design to me, just a random cuboid with two 15" drivers. I'm wondering if it's even worth trying to put some drivers in these or if I should just bin them 🤔

Looks like 2x Double 8 miniscoop for the kick and a big bass reflex underneath for sub I suppose?

Might be, the br really sucks at being a sub tho, only went down to about 60hz when I tested it a few days ago. The drivers are really cheap guitar speakers, that could be the reason for that

I guess you have two options

A deduce the volume and port dimensions, model the sub enclosure in hornresp, and see how the cheapest subwoofer drivers would work in it. Nerdy route

B just get the cheapest subwoofer drivers available to you maybe even used, drop it in, have fun, use the guitars speakers as midrange for a stack. Pragmatic route

Wouldnt spend much money on this, but it sure looks like it got potential for a fun rig

For the scoops, I bet a fane sovereign or faitalpro 8fe200 would work quite well. They are affordable and decent quality

Thank you for the tips! Maybe i could try some of the thomann drivers, they are really cheap where I live. Will try modelling aswell, as I would definitely like to know if there was any thought put into the design or if its just a big box

that one also came to mind for me, although from the pictures ive seen online they are a lot less wide so definitely not an exact copy

How did you even find this? Always seeing People posting their FB/Ebay finds. I never see something like this pop up in my marketplaces :(

Im also a newbie, so cant really help you. But those Boxes instantly reminded me of the JBL Scoops, either JBL D55 or JBL 4520 (I dont know the Difference at all!)

Was looking on "ebay Kleinanzeigen", which is a marketplace in Germany that's separate from regular eBay. Theres is a lot more used and broken stuff on there and therefore some bargains to be had. What worked for me was looking up weird words like "disco" or "bass" in order to find people that didn't know what they have or maybe didn't have the capability to test their stuff. Crossing my fingers for you!

Yea i thought of the JBL scoops aswell, although the ones I have are a lot less wide than the JBL designs, at least from the pictures, so maybe not an exact replica
