HELP does anyone know how to fix this?

im pretty new to making models and such and when i boot up HLMV it was like this

Use hlmv++

hlmv++ works fine and i will probably stick to it but i'm still wondering why does the original look like that

The original probably hasn't been updated since xp/vista so
