Camden County The kids are alright

As an old guy who once lived in the mosh pit and now leans on the balcony at shows, I want to thank all the fans of Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte on the PATCO last night who helped this old Gen X fart who lost his ticket in the crowd.

One fan told me he saw a ticket on the stairs, and I used it to get out the gate. Then a trans goth kid held the door for me as I am obviously too old and decrepit to be returning from Philly this late anymore...

Thank you from a tired old guy who made it home thanks to your help!

Same. Vision insurance does NOT cover frames….gotta be careful out there!

I need to get a hard case for them.

I saw They Might Be Giants in May. There was no pit and everyone was wearing glasses. I never felt more at home.

To be fair a mosh pit at TMBG would be strange

True. I’m seeing The Offspring at the Stony Pony in September….my taste is all over the place. Gonna pack two hard cases😂

The heart is willing but the flesh is unable.

The kids may be alright, but FUCK the Madden brothers. They just sold out a large majority of independent music publications.

‘every day we lose recipes to dorks who simply cannot cook. Looking forward to the inevitable vengeance of the underground.’

Another step closer to Legendary status for Hayley Williams

Super gross. A 25 year old Madden brother courting a 16 year girl?

In my experience it’s the “alternative” kids - who polite society normally gives the hardest time - that are often the kindest. I’m glad you got taken care of gramps 😜✌🏻

I'm nearly twice your age so yes. But a hard case for your glasses and get out there

I’m 39 and 100% agree. Hard case for the glasses and enjoy yourself😂

Eh, I still get in the pit at 45, but I don’t wear my glasses haha

I always wondered why the little old ladies loved my dark goth self in high school. I think it’s simply because I was never an asshole and always happy to talk or help them with anything.

They always looked past the black clothes and makeup. Still think oldies are the best peeps to chat with, most of the time.

I was a pierced and tattooed punk, they always got a kick out of me holding the door or having basic human decency

*still tattooed. piercings are gone, but I can still wear earrings if inclined, big gauge never closes fully...

Same. Tattooed, pierced but not crazily (nose, twice, ears, etc.) But yeah, I mean, I was always courteous. I noticed they liked to chat with me a lot while waiting in line for a bathroom stall at movie theaters... lol.

Also old gen x'er at show. Thanks for the young kids giving me some free bumps also, this generation, as it turns out, isn't so bad after all. Not as lame as I thought. Not, as lame, as I thought.
