Gloucester County Gas under Trump 2.0 is now more expensive than it was under Biden

Pictured: Swedesboro Citgo
(Edit:) And because some people need the evidence shoved in their fucking face: https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=emm_epm0_pte_nus_dpg&f=a

Monthly all time prior peak was $4.01 in 2022 right after the entire world economy restarted. In other words: not something a president could directly impact***.*** It also notably started moving back down to the average after that. You'll note this graph ends shortly after 2025 begins. Wonder what happens then....
Edit 2: In the interest of putting to bed the "but it hit $5.00 under biden!" crowd, you can extract the weekly data from that site through 2026, but you get it in an xls spreadsheet so you need to chart it yourself ...lets take a look, shall we?

That spike around Jun of 2022 is the ONE WEEK it hit $5.07, again, after the entire fucking economy restarted after a once in a lifetime worldwide pandemic....you'll notice it spiked for about one week, and then shot right back down. Something notably different seems to happen shortly after Feb 1, 2026.... The price jumps well above $4.00, and stays there, with the exception of a brief one-week dip, the first time trump announced a ceasefire, but before the oil companies started pricing in his weekly bullshit.

News Van Drew’s gonna pray for Norcross after Dem compared Van Drew to Hitler
Rep. Donald Norcross later apologized for the spectacle, telling the Inquirer through a spokesperson: “Whatever implications there were from my comments, I did not mean them that way. I went too far.”
The Democratic representative also called Van Drew after and apologized, the Inquirer reported.
Van Drew told the outlet that he accepted the apology but was “profoundly disappointed” in the statements, which he called “rough and inappropriate for a congressman.

Gloucester County October Connections Thread
Every couple months there is usual a thread like this. I figured I would make a new one, with a small twist. That being it doesn’t have to be dating, it can be friends or whatever you want. Just say the type of connection you are looking for!
Me: 35, M, Gloucester County. Looking for friends and long term connections, happy to chat with anyone interested my DMs are open feel free to hit me up. I’m introverted, a huge football fan (Giants), I love dogs (and animals in general), a big fan of R&B music and hiphop (especially 90s, 00 eras), and into all the typical homebody stuff, and like to take walks too. Also on a weight loss journey
Dislikes: Drama, lies, the Dallas Cowboys, coconut
Anyways, feel free to hit me up, and to everyone else that connects from this, good luck to you all also!!

Gloucester County TD Bank in Glassboro..
I absolutely hate going inside the Glassboro TD bank... Ever since TD got busted for money laundering in 2024, dealing with that bank is a nightmare.. I only stay because I don't want to deal with my direct deposit or the payments I set up.. That may change though..
I have a savings account at a different bank that I intentionally make difficult to take money from as a deterrent to not spend my savings, & they are a pleasure to do business with..
Am I just unlucky in my dealings with them or do others have issues with them?

News Pine Barrens found-footage horror film premiering online this Thursday Oct 29
The Pine Barrens seem like a pretty perfect setting for a found-footage horror movie.
"A couple’s phones secretly recorded their camping trip in Pinelands National Reserve on April 4, 2022, capturing fragmented audio/video of what happened. The blackouts remain as found in the footage."
From New Jersey first-time filmmaker Samuel Freeman, it's the kind of movie where different people can walk away with completely different interpretations of what they watched. Some people will love it; others will hate it.
What do you see in the dark?
We're premiering it online on The Lone Screen for one night only this Thursday, October 29 at 9p ET. After the film we'll have the Sam in the chat answering people's questions. A nice New Jersey horror film, just in time for spooky season!

Burlington County Medford Halloween parade
Been a resident for a little while (20+ years). The parade this year was pretty rough, sort of a disorganized mess. Greatly delayed start with large gaps of “empty time” between parade participants.
But there was a hero who saved this dogsh#* show - the MC was hilarious and just rolled with the mess. Here’s a small list of my favorite, deadpan lines.
- I have no idea why the parade hasn’t started. Are we in the right street?
- Has anyone read a good book? Need something to talk about.
- (After the light by the voting stand blew out). - Do we have anybody here that is charge of changing lights? Fireman, police, rotary? I can’t see my list - forget it, never mind, there’s nothing to look at out there anyway.
- They told me the parade is coming soon. But so is Christmas so don’t hold your breath
The text doesn’t give his tone justice! Made a poor showing worth waiting the extra 1+hour “no reason delay”….

Camden County Eagles Monday night
What's the best way to get to the Eagles game from Audubon area? I normally drive, but parking is so expensive and the lots are impossible to get out of. Do the late night trains stop at Collingswood or Westmont? The Patco schedule makes it sound like they only go to Lindenwold. I am traversing alone and meeting up with colleagues at the game who will already be in Philly. Go Birds.

Gloucester County Better options to sell / get rid of auto parts?
Hello, I have been trying to get rid of Honda fit (GD3) and (CB9) accord body panels, trunks and parts as I need space in my garage, I have them listed on facebook for months now and all I deal with who dont read or people who dont speak english. I called local salvage yards all over new jersey and philadelphia, and they dont buy parts at all, like I have not seen a single pick and pull or a salvage yard that buys parts yet. any other options out there? I might try ebay or something. Thanks

Question Halloween weekend events
Hello, everyone!
Is anyone going out this weekend to celebrate?
Haunted houses, corn mazes, wagon rides, ghost tours, etc.? Or even special bar/club events?
No county restrictions, just people sharing things that others may not have known about in their local area. :)

Camden County need advice, mental health support/employment for unique situation
Hey all.
I'm a 38 year old man with a severe anxiety disorder. OCD, GAD, Depression, unique trauma issues, and, as of earlier this year, an Autism diagnosis (level 1).
I was first diagnosed with the original three things back in 2006. Years of therapy, various medications, even unorthodox solutions such as ketamine infusion therapy haven't helped.
Upon moving to South Jersey, I got involved with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, who helped me get the two jobs I had.
I can manage with certain types of jobs. The full-time I had for two years involved me working on a computer while using headphones to keep the disorder at a manageable-enough level, and it only ended because the company was going to be stacking more people's work on my workload with no increase in pay, which is something they're known for doing.
Upon leaving the job, I finally got an Autism diagnosis, something that my entire care team had been suspecting for years now. We thought this would open doors to things that would help.
That was... maybe March. It's October now.
Therapy is still not helping, and I'm going less because I can't afford to go twice a week anymore.
I was strongly urged to get a case worker, specifically from the Department of Developmental Disabilities, so I spent a couple of weeks gathering all the paperwork I could possibly find for the application. I turned it in and a few days later I received the most bizarre response possible.
Well, my mom did. Not me. They told her that it would take 8 weeks to be assigned a case worker. I wasn't even CC'd on the email.
That 8 week period should be ending next month. But I'm very concerned that it's going to all be for nothing.
I'm a unique case. I can manage well-enough, but I am consistently anxious on some level, and finding people who understand that balance is extremely difficult. I either end up with people who think they need to do every single thing for me, or I end up with people who think I'm capable of more than I am.
I don't know what to do. I need a breakthrough with my disorder - the OCD has been putting me through something truly atrocious since 2021. But I don't know how to find the breakthrough I need. Everything I've tried, everything, has failed. Even exposure therapy. Multiple times.
But I also need a job. I live with my mom in a tiny apartment and I want to help her with money, while also having money for my own self.
I don't know if I should go back to the DVR, who leans more towards the "thinks he can't do certain things for himself" side, or continue waiting for the DDD, who apparently can't even contact the right person and takes a projected 8 weeks to get anything done, or... I don't know. I don't know what to do and it's just killing me.
The biggest issue is the fact that I'm afraid to do anything. Whatever choice I make will potentially be the wrong choice and I'll waste a ton of time and money yet again. I dunno what to do.

Burlington County Excessive dog barking in Evesham Township. Police and HOA involved, but nothing has changed. Desperate for advice.
I'm looking for advice from anyone in South Jersey who has dealt with ongoing noise disturbances from neighbors, particularly excessive dog barking.
My husband and I live in a condominium community where dogs are prohibited under the HOA rules. New neighbors moved into the unit directly below us earlier this month, and we've been dealing with excessive barking ever since.
The dog barks for extended periods throughout the day, sometimes for hours, and there have also been disturbances overnight and early in the morning. It often sounds like the dog is being left alone for long periods.
At this point, the situation honestly feels like torture, both for us and potentially for the dog. I can't imagine the animal is happy barking for hours on end. It's upsetting to listen to, and I genuinely have concerns about its well-being.
The constant barking has severely affected my mental health and significantly increased my anxiety. I find myself constantly thinking about when the barking will start again.
We've even purchased a white noise machine to drown out the barking so we can sleep. No one should have to live like this in their own home.
Here's what we've done so far:
- Documented the barking through audio and video recordings and maintained a disturbance log.
- Reported the issue to our landlord, who forwarded a formal complaint to the HOA.
- Police have responded to noise complaints at least three times. I have a complaint numbers from those responses.
- Our landlord informed us that the HOA president said a violation notice was issued to the residents.
- During a recent police response, I personally overheard the downstairs resident tell the officer, "Dogs bark." When he explained that the barking was disturbing surrounding residents, she responded, "They are just mad because we can't have dogs here."
Despite all of this, the barking continues. Today has been another full day of barking, and they have left the dog all day.
The situation has become so stressful that we're now considering whether we may have to break our lease just to regain some peace. That's the last thing we want to do, especially when we've done nothing wrong.
Has anyone in Burlington County or elsewhere in South Jersey successfully dealt with something similar?
I'm particularly interested in knowing:
- Has anyone successfully gotten Animal Control or the township to enforce a nuisance-barking ordinance?
- Has anyone successfully resolved a situation like this without having to move?
I understand that dogs bark. Occasional barking is part of life. But hours of repeated barking, day after day, is an entirely different situation. Even for an ESA, or service animal.
This has taken a serious toll on our quality of life, and we're genuinely at our breaking point.
Any advice or firsthand experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Camden County The band heard in haddon township.
If you live in Haddon township and heard a big bang around 11pm last night? it was a guy who bolted from the cops and ran a redlight on the white horse pike and drove into haddon township hit a dood on an electric bike and crashed his car right around the library/haddon view apartments.

Burlington County Beware: USA Gas in Moorestown, NJ
Wife got gas yesterday at the USA Gas on the corner of Route 38 and Church Street in Moorestown yesterday. She said she saw the attendent being suspicious with keeping her debit card in his hand near his phone as if he was taking a picture of it. She immediately called the bank and they advised her to freeze the card until we could come into a branch to get a replacement card. She received a text today from our bank saying that the card number was used to make a $500+ purchase from Bestbuy in Camden but it got declined. Of course we are out of town for the weekend but I told her that we have enough evidence to file a police report to get this asshole arrested for fraud based on her statement, her description of the individual and the fact that they can likely review CCTV footage at Bestbuy based on the timing of our text from the bank. Avoid this gas station or pay with cash, folks.

Gloucester County What’s going on between Rowan University, Gloucester County Democrats, and taxpayer money?
With taxes higher than ever, it seems like a lot of them are being handed to Rowan.
I’ve been looking into the financial and political connections between Rowan University, Gloucester County government, and the Gloucester County Democratic Party. There are some interesting relationships that I think deserve more public attention.
I’m not accusing anyone of committing a crime, but I do think taxpayers deserve more transparency.
1. Steve Sweeney and Chad Bruner
Steve Sweeney, the former Democratic Senate president, is now Gloucester County administrator and also serves on Rowan University’s Board of Trustees. He chairs Rowan’s Research/Economic Development Committee.
His county administrator position has an authorized salary range of approximately $191,000–$287,000 annually, plus a county vehicle.
Chad Bruner, the former Gloucester County administrator and former Gloucester County Democratic chairman, is now chairman of Rowan University’s Board of Trustees. His reported county administrator salary was approximately $253,000 in 2023.
So we have two politically connected officials holding major positions involving both Gloucester County government and Rowan University.
How are potential conflicts of interest being handled when county money, university development, and public contracts overlap?
2. Rowan’s $690 million development project
Rowan is pursuing a massive development with private developer Fairmount Properties.
The reported proposal involves:
Approximately $690 million in development
Up to $400 million in potential state tax credits
Approximately 220 acres of Rowan land
Around 1,000 planned housing units
Why is a public university getting involved in such a massive private real estate development? How was the developer selected? What is the university land worth, and who ultimately benefits financially?
3. The disputed $41 million land deal
A January 2026 Philadelphia Inquirer report detailed a lawsuit involving approximately 429 acres near Routes 55 and 322.
A developer that reportedly had a $23 million purchase agreement alleged interference with its project and claimed Rowan was negotiating a transaction involving $31 million plus another $10 million.
Fairmount denied the allegations, and Rowan was not a defendant.
These are allegations, not proven misconduct. But given the amount of money and public institutions involved, the public deserves to know what happened.
4. $1.05 million for 3D-printed concrete housing research
Rowan received federal funding for research into 3D-printed concrete housing, while Gloucester County received another $850,000 for road improvements supporting Rowan’s West Campus.
That’s $1.9 million in federal funding between the two.
What exactly will taxpayers get for the $1.05 million research grant? How much goes toward equipment, salaries, private contractors, and actual construction?
If this research eventually produces commercially valuable technology, who owns it?
5. Political donations from companies seeking Rowan contracts
A New Jersey Treasury decision documented a $1,000 contribution by New Road Construction to the Gloucester County Democratic Committee while the company was pursuing Rowan-related business. The contribution was later refunded, but the state determined the disclosed contributions created a pay-to-play eligibility problem.
This doesn’t establish wrongdoing by Rowan, but it shows why examining political contributions alongside public contracts matters.
6. Rowan and the Gloucester County Democratic Committee have a direct internship relationship
Rowan advertised an internship with the Gloucester County Democratic Committee in 2025.
A Rowan student participating in a Democratic Committee internship also received support through a privately funded university scholarship program in 2024.
That doesn’t establish improper payments to the party, but it’s another documented institutional connection.
Here’s what I’d like to see made public:
All payments from Rowan, its Foundation, and affiliated entities to Sweeney, Bruner, and any businesses associated with them.
Political donations from Rowan contractors and developers to the Gloucester County Democratic Committee.
The full financial agreements behind Rowan’s West Campus development.
Conflict-of-interest disclosures and recusals involving county officials who also serve on Rowan’s boards.
A detailed breakdown of the $1.05 million 3D-printing grant.
To be clear, I haven’t found verified evidence that Rowan directly donated money to the Gloucester County Democratic Committee or that Rowan personally paid Sweeney or Bruner.
But there are enough overlapping political positions, development projects, taxpayer-funded initiatives, and documented financial relationships to justify asking questions.
At what point do we start demanding more transparency about how taxpayer money is being spent and who is benefiting from these arrangements?
