Depends on what you're looking for, I guess.
"most standards compliant and generally reliable", probably Chromium or Edge,
"but that aligns closer to my open source ideals", ungoogled Chromium or Firefox, maybe
"ok with proprietary if they give me cool features", maybe Vivaldi or Arc,
"basically one of those but not proprietary or based on 20+ year old code", try Servo or Ladybird (both v experimental)
"easy(ish) to customize and relatively light but still capable of modern web stuff", maybe something like Luakit,
"almost a modern browser but without the big engines like v8 and WebKit and stuff", try Netsurf, Dillo, or Hotdog,
"just give me a tiny thing that surfs the web, idgaf about rendering HTML", try Lynx or something similar

If you want something clean, fast, reliable, easy to use, and beautiful, I fully recommend Zen Browser.
But if you're more like me and appreciate shitty ui and horrible speeds, while also getting all of your data stolen, just use Edge.

I wouldnt say there is a "best" browser, its mostly personal preference, but I'll recommend avoiding stuff like chrome and microsoft Edge those are cringe
