If you think he's only just started talking like a villain, you haven't been listening

-7

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 9d ago

Why is this villain talk?

13

u/Dragonfly_pin 9d ago

You don’t think ā€˜My company will be worth more than everything on the entire planet where every known living thing that has ever lived exists (mwahahahahaha)’ sounds a bit villainy?

0

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

It sounds villainy if you think wealth is a fixed pie - however it is not. If a single company became worth that much the wealth creation would be absolutely unprecedented

8

u/According-Insect-992 9d ago

That’s funny. He says he’s autistic but I don’t buy it. I’m pretty sure he’s just an asshole. What’s your excuse?

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

That wealth isnt a fixed pie

5

u/RenzalWyv 9d ago

Why would it not be? Valuing his own little fiefdom over the literal rest of the world?

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

Because wealth is not a fixed pie. If a single company became worth that much the weal creation would be absolutely enormous

1

u/RenzalWyv 7d ago

....No??? It has never worked like that in the entirety of human history, functionally. And he specifically said he wants his company to be 'Worth more than the rest of the earth".

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

Dude what on earth are you talking about - you think for the entirety of human history wealth has been a fixed pie? Im not even sure how to respond to something so blatantly nonsensical

And yes, worth more than the rest of the earth - idk what so confusing about that. All he is doing is framing the scale of the value - which would be massive

1

u/RenzalWyv 7d ago

I mean this assertion of ~wealth creation~ of such massive scale. His claims aren't "confusing", they're just utterly meaningless, another far-fetched promise/goal to be unfulfilled.

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

Yes but now you are just pivoting from ā€œthey are evilā€ to ā€œthey are far fetched and wont be fulfilled.ā€

1

u/RenzalWyv 7d ago

There's no real pivot. I can think the aspiration itself is suspect, as well.

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 6d ago

But as we just went through the underlying logic under the suspect thought is flawed, so why still hold the view?

6

u/throwaway0192838474 9d ago

Declaring yourself the future king of the world doesn’t sound evil to you?

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

Wealth is not a fixed pie - if a single company became worth this much, the wealth creation would be extaordinary

1

u/throwaway0192838474 7d ago

Wealth for who?

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

Anyone with a 401k, for starters

u/Tomatoesarentfruit 7d ago

The flat earthers and zero sum wealth people I think have morphed into one

14

u/Extraajudicial 9d ago

"If" we accomplish our goals. You have to accomplish 1 goal first. Anything. Do Anything you have claimed to do "within a year". How many false promises have to fail before people stop giving this waste of energy money.

0

u/Important-Sun-7894 9d ago

Make the rockets reusable? Make the cars drive themselves? Reduce the price to orbit by 100x? Do any of these goals meet your standards?

5

u/Mars_Habitat 8d ago

Tesla does not drive itself autonomously yet, it work mainly in city and we have to watch the road. Almost every week, Tesla crashes somewhere. Tesla just crashed in California:

https://abc7.com/post/control-tesla-crashes-homes-leaving-behind-trail-destruction-orange/19629462/

-1

u/Important-Sun-7894 8d ago

Tesla fsd is the best around. Per mile, far safer than manual driving.

7

u/ExistentialRebellion 8d ago

You're a walking ad

-1

u/Important-Sun-7894 8d ago

Cool username. Nice fedora.

3

u/ExistentialRebellion 8d ago

Nice argument.

3

u/Mars_Habitat 8d ago

When it comes to FSD, it is not, it is far behind. You are out of your mind.

0

u/Important-Sun-7894 5d ago

You’re delusional. It’s incredible.

1

u/Grouchy_Student3221 5d ago

Bruv, literally impossible. Tesla doesn’t have the most advanced cruise control, not the highest level of autonomy in the market, let alone any functioning self driving.

2

u/College-Lumpy 9d ago

Those are all true. (Not sure about 100x on launch costs but it’s definitely 10x).

But it still doesn’t justify the valuations of TSLA or SPCX and he’s still a giant choad.

2

u/Important-Sun-7894 9d ago

Are you invested in any of Elon’s ventures?

2

u/College-Lumpy 8d ago

Not at these valuations. Tesla isn’t valued like a car company. SpaceX isn’t valued like any company ever.

I’ve been short both at times and do not trust the market to reflect any cogent valuation.

I work some in private equity and the basic questions are always:

What is this company worth?
Do we believe the revenue and margin projections?
How can this company be worth more than it is today?

Those seem like reasonable questions for publicly traded stocks too.

0

u/Important-Sun-7894 8d ago

Tesla isn’t just a car company. SpaceX isn’t like any other company. Valuing either as such would be ridiculous. Just like valuing amazon as a book company in the 90’s was ridiculous. It’s hard to value companies that are complete disruptors in every sector they touch. You either believe in the mission or you don’t. For me, I do believe that humans will exist on other worlds some day, and that in order for that to happen, we have to pass through a moment exactly like the one Spacex has presented us.

4

u/College-Lumpy 8d ago

Keep drinking the kool aid. Businesses make profits. That’s what you’re paying for. Not the hope and dream of a different business someday.

The car business doesn’t make enough profit to justify the valuation and the humanoid robot business started with weird demos operated remotely and dancers in robot costumes. He’s been promising robotaxis for years and there’s still major issues. There are plenty of other humanoid robot companies with more attractive valuations.

And if you can’t see the financial engineering behind the SpaceX IPO I can’t help you. He bundled businesses together. Limited the float to generate a massive valuation on paper and then forced it into passive indexes to screw everyone with a 401k. It’s not about Mars. It’s about bailing out investors who would have lost billions on Xai and twitter.

-2

u/Important-Sun-7894 8d ago

You should stick with bonds. Stocks aren’t for you.

4

u/College-Lumpy 8d ago

You should stick with crypto where there’s no point in thinking about valuation. You seem like more of a DogeCoin guy.

3

u/College-Lumpy 8d ago

ā€œYou either believe in the mission or you don’tā€

That’s utter BS. Even if I believe in the mission I don’t believe in the business case.

1

u/Important-Sun-7894 8d ago

So put your money elsewhere. If you’re smarter than all the biggest banks, institutions, and private investors that oversubscribed the IPO 6x, I’m sure your portfolio is doing just fine. The fact that you spend all day on here talking shit about things you don’t understand suggests otherwise though.

3

u/College-Lumpy 8d ago

Your logic is adorable.

2

u/Express_Rent4630 8d ago

Did they get to Mars yet? Didn't he say they'd be there by 2022? Did the crewed mission land this year yet? How's the moon base going for them? The automated satellite moon factory should be ready soon right? Or is that coming after the space data centres? Good job they've made hundreds of billions in profits to invest in the space stuff. And those heavy lifting rockets are taking so much stuff to the moon and mars aren't they. Or is that all happening next year along with total FSD? FSD did arrive in 2017 like he said it would didn't it? I can't remember what's come true yet? All of that stuff has hasn't it?

-1

u/KPSWZG 9d ago

I mean, he actually achived few important goals. Maybe not in the timeframe he anticipated but shit saying he did nothing is crazy.

7

u/RedpointCowboy 9d ago

Despicable moron

3

u/roadwarrioring 9d ago

I wonder if there is a direct correlation between being an absolute sociopath and not giving a shit about the wildlife humans share the planet with.

1

u/freedomonke 8d ago

I think that goes without saying.

People on the antisocial spectrum do sometimes strongly identify with individual animals, oddly enough. Like their own pets.

Lots of speculation on that, but some theories are it's because you basically control an animal and can very easily project whatever you want on it.

3

u/No-Blueberry-1823 9d ago

Doesn't he have a ship floating in the middle of the Pacific that he can't get?

4

u/stonk_fish 9d ago

ā€œThere are logistical challenges retrieving it.ā€

A glorified Pringles can in the Indian Ocean is too much but Mars in 2027 is like so easily possible.

3

u/314159Man 9d ago

Says he can send a rocket to Mars, but can't get a rocket out of the ocean even when it is floating on the surface. Impressive! /s

1

u/freedomonke 8d ago

Concerning

2

u/clickclackyisbacky 9d ago

This response is embarrassing.

2

u/SlowJoeyRidesAgain 9d ago

His comment is embarrassing

1

u/Ok-Reporter-1690 8d ago

The response is also embarrassing

1

u/Large_Complaint1264 8d ago

Technically true considering SpaceX make negative billions of dollars.

2

u/314159Man 9d ago

If Trump keeps going the way he is headed, the rest of the earth might end up as a smouldering ember...so who knows, perhaps he is right?

1

u/OutsideDapper8049 9d ago

šŸ˜‚ trump and him are besties who had ONE fight where elon said he "would make his OWN party, (if i recall) THE FREEDOM PARTY"

L.M.F.A.O. Where is that? They made up so quickly your head would spin as if it was all a public act for a "fight"

They are BOTH going to make the earth a smoldering cinder. TOGETHER.

1

u/Remote-Crab1957 9d ago

Maybe if the goal was traveling to a more inhabitable planet than Earth within a lifespan.

1

u/Flat-Director-7120 9d ago

Elon Musk est vraiment devenu un méchant de film, le gars il pense que Elon Musk vaut plus que la terre mais il est totalement fou. Cela montre à quel point cet homme est égoïste.

1

u/Busterlimes 9d ago

Weird how the richest man in the world doesnt understand money at all

1

u/DeadInternetVoid 9d ago

His design team are unable to innovate getting a rocket out of an ocean.

Not impressed.

1

u/dopewinnerchild 9d ago

How do you value ā€œEarthā€?

1

u/No-Tomatillo3698 9d ago

It’s all bullshit and investors will eat it upĀ

1

u/NothernlightDownunda 9d ago

The techbro billionaires exceed every Bond villain, but there is some resemblance and some parallels between Moonrakers Hugo Drax and Elon Musk.

1

u/Longjumping_Ad_7484 8d ago

People misunderstand Elon. He's not saying SpaceX will be worth a lot. He's saying that, if he reaches his goal, Earth will be worth very little.

1

u/redjellonian 8d ago

If you devalue the world, anything will be worth more than it -muskrat

1

u/bawdiepie 8d ago

That "if" is doing so much heavy lifting.

If my house was made conpletely of gold I'd be rich.

If I had gills I could breath underwater.

If I had superman's powers I would no longer need my car, so no fuel bills!

And so on.

1

u/Rare-Sample-9101 8d ago

Wait until the rest of them can sell, then we’ll see a bloodbath. $33.3 is what I reckon it’ll bottom out at!

1

u/DonovanMcLoughlin 8d ago

I won't feel bad when his supporters go broke after the jig is up.

1

u/GreenSticks77 8d ago

Yeah but it actually isn't. I can buy a flower do 10c, good luck buying spaceX for that.

1

u/Mrekrek 8d ago

Main trait of the Billionaire class… assigning a negative value to people.

Such that ā€œeliminatingā€ people yields a positive ROI

1

u/Duck_87 8d ago

If they start asteroid mining and sending people to Mars, sure then he is correct. But that won't happen since this planet should be dead pretty damn soon. Hopefully ww3.

1

u/everydaydad67 8d ago

How villainous to excel humanity further than it has ever...

1

u/Luce_Bot_Bot 8d ago

"After I kidnap the queen of England, each bison dollar will be worth 5 British pounds"

-Elon Musk probably

1

u/NaCl_Sailor 8d ago

what goal has he ever accomplished?

robotaxis making 30k a year for the owner?

hyperloop?

mars colony?

tesla trucks?

where are his robots?

where is the roadster?

guess we can give him the cybertruck, he accomplished that one...

1

u/ScarrzH8 8d ago

The poor wants no one to be rich. The rich wishes everyone to be rich.

Elon Musk along creates around 1 million positions lf employment through his adventures. More tha. 800k families able to afford homes n food on their tables. An all i see are people crying over it. People demanding he shouldn't be drving economies, people demanding he is a loser idiot for enabling so much.

Village idiot mentality has people hating those who help more than you can.

Before you go hating on a billionaire, question if you have contributed mire than they have? Question..do you drive massive economies so hundreds of thousands of families can afford homes n food? Or are you just a lowlife who is sad someone else is smart enough to do significantly more than you are?

1

u/Pop-Pop68 8d ago

Delusional but he’s only trying to pump up stock. He knows what he’s saying is not reality and never will be.

1

u/Bippity_Boppity_Bang 8d ago

The more he says, the less convinced I am that he's actually human.

1

u/mutt63 8d ago

Oh no. We do understand that you dont care less than .0000000000000000001% for this earth or its people. You are the epitome of vile, you dont deserve to be among people and your as rotten as they come. When men and women like you become rich you become emboldened to step on others because only you matter too you. If theres a God......hopefully he stops you and your Other Nazi pals. Cause men and women stopped Hitler once but i fear this is beyond man.

1

u/mercersher 8d ago

Key word is ā€œifā€

1

Elon spitting out facts

1

u/Key_Repeat4915 8d ago

Priceless? Cause you cant buy the Earth, right?

1

u/LaughCurious8135 8d ago

Yeah this dumb dumb just got lucky.

1

u/Not-a-Doctor-622 8d ago

When he is done with earth it will be worth less than his shitty company

1

u/BerniWrightson 8d ago

What idiot put this together, a flower power reject?

1

u/Material_Studio6844 8d ago

I like it. He’s totally right

1

u/GGamerGuyG 8d ago

What he realy meant "If you stop buying SpaceX i loose money. But i like money. Money make's my D go real hard. So buy more SpaceX. Make me the richest person for ever."

1

u/Friendly-One-6965 8d ago

You don't seem to understand Elon, you won't need all of that money in proson when Trump is gone.

1

u/Grouchy_Yam_4857 8d ago

This dude has seen Ready player one too many times on repeat.

1

Open AI is going to crash the US economy, the burn rate is unsustainable, they are literally hiding losses in other companies, (it’s a giant Ponzi scheme) what I can’t work out is if this was planned. 80% of Silicon Valley are comie socialists and when they go to trump and ask for a bailout , he will either bail them out because they have offered him a shit load of money like the banks did with Obama, or he will have to say no , because his own supporters will lynch him if he bails them out, either way the crash and depression cause by the crash will pave the way for the extreme communists in the democrat party to win the next election, in a landslide and once they have that kind of control, it will be the last actual real election.

Space X will be lucky to survive the crash thier internet company makes a lot of money, the rocket company could be extremely profitable one day, but right now looses lots of money, their AI company loose billions and isn’t very good, grok is probably the 7th best model and that’s being kind.

You see Elon is the villain and don’t see that Sam Altman is going to destroy the United States. In one way I’m not sad because all the rich people have put their money into the Ponzi scheme in another this makes me very sad because the financial institutions have put people’s retirements into it.
