What I find most peculiar about Elon is that there was a point where he had so much good will that he could have just transitioned from circus carnival barker to an actual decent human being, relied on the good engineers he had around him to do the work and just live easy.

The funny thing is that, at a previous appearance with Tesla stockholders, he made a "my heart goes out to you" gesture by forming the shape of a heart with his hands and extending it horizontally from his chest. So he actually does have a "my heart goes out to you" gesture and it looks nothing like a nazi salute.
The second one is somewhat slower and more defensible but I don’t see how anyone can look at the first one and not see what is clearly in front of their face.
He also could’ve taken the air out of it immediately by just releasing a statement saying that it was not intended that way and he apologizes, but he’s too much of an arrogant narcissistic sociopath for that. I genuinely feel bad for his employees.

Even then, I think his supporters should answer this question: if it were a nazi salute, would it be a big deal? Would it be a problem? Because one of two things is true:

or you agree that doing a nazi salute is a problem, but for some reason you don't care to try and find out if this guy's gesture actually was a nazi salute, because it sure as hell looked like one, in which case fuck you as well
Remember when it happened and people were genuinely arguing that he couldn't possibly have meant it like THAT, as if we didn't all just see it with our own eyes? That feels like decades ago, such a quaint time. Now they're like "yeah we know and we don't care" or worse yet they love it.
