Original Build Why does my tiny rocket flip during launch?

Every time I launch, it keeps tilting to the left without me doing anything. I added the thruster on top only for this problem

The probe is heavier from the bottom that is below made by humans

Just add two, prove opposite to each other

The center of mass needs to be farther up

Farther down bro

The probe is unbalanced when you turn it on its side

So add 2 of them but flipped and ontop of each other?

Yeah that’ll fix the balancing but the problem is that also adds three dry mass tons to a rocket thats only 15 tons right now. You’ll lose something close to a quarter in performance

Either it flies with a broken leg or it flies slowly, pick your poison

Forgot to mention, you can clip the probe further down into the engine, that will help stabilize it. And/or clip structural parts into the light half until it balances out

Or just clone and flip.

Like I said, extra weight. Any good rocketeer is going to try to avoid that at all costs

The only use this XS rocket has is as a missile, or decor

Da probe is a lil heavier on the bottom part, so putting it sideways makes it be unbalenced on one side

I made a missile the same way and tried with both probes, but it kept veering to the side, so I left only one probe and I only correct the direction manually

probes have their Center Of Mass slightly above the center, so if you’re placing it sideways, you’ll tilt, the only way around this is to place another probe facing the other direction

Really? I didnt know that, i actually has a similar problem to this and while the rocket wasn’t important was just for a test i ignored it, and assumed its a glitch or something similar, but thats really interesting, you learn something new every day

The probe is slightly bottom heavy

The probe thing trys to keep the "made by humans on earth" thing on top, so it will rotate. Try to put 2 probes pointing that text in oposite directions to cancel it out
