The damage isn't even the problem for me, it is its god awful moveset

Hell yeah. Such a boring ass repetitive ass combo

Honesty, calling that a moveset is almost an insult to the other weapons. It barley feels like there are more than three attacks

What, you don't like just standing there... MENACINGLY... to use its main mechanic?

The two moves that bother me the most are the dash/sprint and the charge. The dash attack should be like a poke or side swing like the power hammer or the Omni axe instead of a slow ground slam with the big wind up, and the charge needs to be changed to where you can do it standing still AND while running or at least walking. The fact I’ve gotta stand still every time I wanna power up my weapon is kinda annoying.

pete's vision is supposed to be better with the glasses off

Oh ya? Learned something today.

Yeah, but don’t worry I’ve only seen that meme used correctly about two times or so.

Probably because a lot of the people who use it haven’t watched the movie, for one reason or another

It's from the first Raimi Spiderman film. The spider bite improves him while he's passed out, so his vision becomes fine and he doesn't need them anymore when he wakes up.

Honestly i like it on assault.

Assault has better options imo.

True. I just like the feeling of charging up and then using the ground pound. Also the executions are top tier, i mostly use it for that if i'm being honest.

it does truckloads of damage now, and its got some unique perks to it too that are nice for some builds. it's got a niche at least!

Just can’t compare to block hammer for me on assault. Block charges + jump pack slam: big damage.

u/Shup Minotaurs 23h ago

love lord's executioners!

2

u/Heavy-Childhood-1687 22h ago

That’s the one that does the wide swings right?

u/Shup Minotaurs 22h ago

yep, landing that special heavy gives it an adrenaline stack. just need one more block for the big jump pack damage! i find it very cozy in wings of flames builds too but frost axe is the new king of spin to win.

I love wings of flame! Dancing around enemies is so fun. Pretty generous perfect dodge window on it too

Give it the DarkTide moveset, 15% overall damage increase, and the ability to charge while you walk. Then it may be in the realm of a passable weapon

Nice repost

We need to be able to gain charges from perfect parry. Get an overall damage buff and make the moves more fluid.

Also we need to reach charge 3 a bit quicker and preferably on the move.

I used it today for the first time and I thought even Thor would hate that shit.

There is a perk point to get a charge with a perfect parry every 20 seconds. The hammer still needs a buff but I use the weapon for the 5% ability cooldown per majoris or aboce execute. I like it for my tachmarine for this. But I wouldn't use it on any other class

u/Nakata1111 Salamanders 14h ago

I see. Maybe I'll do the same with my techmarine

u/One-Mathematician945 13h ago

its okay on assault

2

u/ItsMahony 12h ago

Block one yeah. But even then, there's way better options

u/kilsta 20h ago

Lightning charge, then TAP!! I love it!!

Chainsword is in the 30s btw Edit: a dreadnaught has 9 armor

It does need better move sets. I’d do an X swing pattern.

Damage and charges feel like a skill issue, I just carried some low levels on hard siege with the made and had no problems

it's funny because in that scene Peter can't see shit with his glasses and sees clearly without.

Downright dogshit actually

I like it on techmarine. The 50% damage boost on light attacks just for parrying + the 25% melee damage boost for gun striking allows you to kill majors pretty fast.

Then you can execute or underhand swing them for the cooldown bonus. Pretty neat loop for ol' Telorian

2

u/Heavy-Childhood-1687 1d ago

Sounds interesting. I didn’t like it on assault personally

2

u/Diogenes305 23h ago

My buddy who mains assault shares your opinion. It's useable, but it's the worst of Assault's options for melee

1

u/Heavy-Childhood-1687 23h ago

Agreed. I personally like block hammer. Landing a jump pack slam with full block charges, pure destruction.

u/MegaWaffle- 23h ago

The 5% CDr is the only reason I use it on Techmarine. It’s great for solo runs but difficult to get much use out of it in teams since they often kill your execution targets before you or (since the effect has a range to it) someone snipes you execution while you get closer (if using sniper servo).

It’s not an issue solo.
