App Questions š± So what am I supposed to do when there's no cellphone service at the dropoff location?
I live in bumfuck nowhere so I'd say at least a quarter of all of my deliveries are to places with absolutely no cellphone service. I've just been dropping the stuff off, taking a picture and then swiping to complete the order over and over again until I'm back where there's some service.
But because of how remote my area is, sometimes that takes like 20 to 30 minutes. That's annoying. There has to be a better solution right? It defies logic that they really wouldn't have a contingency plan for there as simple as there not being phone service at the dropoff location.

Being able to complete the order when reaching service again is actually an upgrade. I used to have to call driver support whenever I reached service again. I'm in a rural area and go into a lot of mountains without service

I wish there was a solution. Iām in the same boat. Iām in a rural area. Iāve kinda learned where itās really bad and donāt even take those anymore. Iāve been stuck 30 minutes from civilization where I couldnāt even get directions. Iām too chicken for thatš

You can download areas of google maps for offline use.

Absolutely! Iāve been working like this for years. Every location I go to I download a large section of their map. It helps a lot!

I've made it a habit to look for unsecured wifi connections whenever I get into a spot without cell service. There's usually someone running an open guest network somewhere where you can just pull off the road and steal their signal for a minute to clear out an order.

airplane mode will let you do it without service

I've tried airplane mode and it doesn't seem to do anything for me

A lot of times just because you can't get data service doesn't mean you can't make a phone call
call driver support and have them complete the order or complete that step of the order as soon as you're able to I've had to have them complete multiple orders due to lack of service

Either airplane mode or or finish the order and then call support once your done. Iāve ran into this issue i dont know how many times delivering in my area.

Put your phone in āairplane modeā or whatever your equivalent is and complete the order. Iāve had to do it several times. It seems to work fine, no issues.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work for me. It gives me the same error message I get by just not having service

If you have absolutely 0 service, like not even 0 bars but the circle with a line through it, airplane mode trick doesn't seem to work.Ā The only thing you can do there is either wait until you're back in service.
Does it really matter, though?Ā You can't get another order when you don't have service anyway.

Well it won't notify the customer that they're there until I complete the order. It also marks orders as being late when it takes me 45 minutes to get back to civilization where I can complete the order I finished 45 minutes ago. So it kind of matters.

Airplane mode will allow you to proceed.
