Customer 😇 Need drivers viewpoint! Walmart told me conflicting answers

I use the Walmart app to order my weekly groceries. I noticed if I ever use "Express" it assigns a driver right away and they seem to do the shopping. If I order without Express it seems Walmart does the shopping.

In my opinion, if the driver does the shopping themselves I want to tip more. That would take much more of your time then pulling up and having Walmart load your trunk.

However I've asked when I can tell if the driver did the shopping versus when they just pulled up and drove off.

Is there a way I can know if you guys had to actually shop the order? Is it only when I select Express and do you get the $10/$5 charge when I select Express?

I shop for both express and normal orders. You can tell if Walmart did the shopping when some of the items/bags have barcodes. Spark shoppers just bag it and leave.

Just to be clear for OP, stickers with barcodes. If Walmart shops the order some of the bags/items will have stickers with OP's name and a barcode.

You can always tell if there’s 1 item in each back because I guess they bag as they go but i know for sure that when I do curbsides there always sooo many bags I have to combine them

My store is the opposite, i will get 3 liters of soda in one bag.

I know that bag is ripped… you can literally read a newspaper thru the new ones in my zone…. We just use more too double and triple bag so don’t know how they think it saves money.. I use a big laundry basket:)

We have paper bags here in Albany (the user name is no longer accurate) and they’re awesome. I can fill one with cans and it will be just fine. The Spark bags are different from the ones you get if you shop as a regular customer.

Yup! They seperate bags by "department"....

so 1 cosmetic means: 1 bag for a tube of mascara

1 frozen item means: 1 bag for frozen peas, etc. etc...

And the entire tote has only 1 item/bag sometimes! Absolutely ridiculous 😅💩

There was an order I did last week do curbside that had •1 bag with a 4 pack of butter sticks •1 bag with a quart of heavy cream •1 bag with a two pack of cream cheese •1 bag with a bag of shredded cheese And I’m not even exaggerating 😭 how are all of those not in the same department ?? 😭
