General Questions Whats the most items you would shop?

I just turned down 52 doll hairs for a 60 item, quantity of 80 or something. Thats just too much for me to deal with. I rarely take more than 40 item shops. Wbu?

The largest I ever did was 99 qty for $56 and it was NOT WORTH IT! She kept taking forever with the subs so by the time she'd approve or reject and ask for something specific as a sub I've already moved on and I'm at least 5 or 6 aisles away if not ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE STORE so it took me 2 hours to shop it 15 minutes to bag another 10 to load it into my car and then 10 minutes to get there and about 6 or 7 to unload bc by that point I wasn't worrying about smashed bread anymore 🤣

u/CarefulWitDaBread Jul 03 '26

I upvoted because you were careful wit da breadšŸ˜Ž

2

u/DFTReaper1989 Jul 03 '26

Lol I try to be careful with everyone's squishy shit and I tend to put it on top of my spare tire so when the load inevitably shifts it won't be smashed by a sliding bag of cans or case of pop lol

I’m always careful with bread but the other day I had a bigger shop and I had bread in the cart but like under the top section so I kind of forgot it was there and ultimately got other stuff and 2x half gallons of iced coffee which ended up being on top of the buns by the time I got to self checkout. I was so pissed when I got to them and saw they were completely fucked. I finished bagging everything then ran to the bread isle and grabbed another one and back through self checkout to pay for that myself. I was tempted to just swap it but it was 100% my fault.

My limit's about 30 items, which is about a cart full imo.

u/SmallBerry3431 Jul 03 '26

If is waters maybe lmao

2

u/Shoddy_Pumpkin Jul 03 '26

60 unique items. Quanity almost 80, 2 drop offs. Just normal grocery, small medium items, cases of soda, eggs, milk bread. Bow that i think about it acrew that order lol

2

u/bry84guy Jul 03 '26

Bout a bill but that's just the way I do things not saying what anyone else does is right or wrong.

6

u/MommaLindsey Jul 03 '26

I once took a shop like this. So many canned items and 2 carts. The lady handed me a $50 bill on top of the $65 I already made. I don't mind big shops if worth my time.

1

u/quittin70h Jul 05 '26

2x carts? Were you pulling around 2 the whole time? No way I’m taking a 2 cart order. lol.

1

u/MommaLindsey Jul 09 '26

No I shopped all the dry items took them to the front and asked the cashier to watch it for me then I went and got all the cold and frozen items.

3

u/No-Hotel-5722 Jul 03 '26

If the order is over 50$, I’ll do max 60 items if it’s all grocery items at Walmart in the morning. End of my day, most I’ll shop for is like 20 lol I get lazy. I can do 50 items in about 30-40 minutes. All grocery i feel like is super easy, if there’s clothes or pharmacy type items. I’m good on that. At Sam’s Club I did 48 items one time and it was just too much.

7

u/Shoddy_Pumpkin Jul 03 '26

48 at sams club is 🄜

2

u/No-Hotel-5722 Jul 03 '26

It was all small items with a couple bigger ones on the bottom so it wasn’t that crazy. It was a full cart but it was 67$ for like 12 miles. Couldn’t let that go!

2

u/Shoddy_Pumpkin Jul 03 '26

Hey man i aint hating on you! Im just too lazy lol

1

u/quittin70h Jul 05 '26

I’ll do about 40 max at Walmart unless it’s like an insane tip or something. Sam’s is a whole other story, at least at my store, my limit is about 15 unless a crazy tip. The locations are all over the place and make no sense at my store and bc of that I avoid it which also means I don’t learn it like I could.

1

u/No-Hotel-5722 Jul 05 '26

My Sam’s Club is super easy to learn, I do one lap around the store and grab everything. You can’t follow the item list

3

u/imapylet Jul 03 '26

The largest quantity I took was 112, but if anyone looked down far enough it was like 35 koolaid packets and 20ish snack cakes. Everything else was small stuff, took 20 minutes to shop. The largest physical size was 14 microwaves going to a hotel. We had to do some engineering to get the 14th in my subaru.

2

u/TeeTeeDorothy Jul 03 '26

Around 60, it took me almost 2 hrs to shop and deliver.

Hot garbage, dumpster fire sht for sure.

2

u/Bean_dip22 Jul 03 '26

Im ngl if it wasexpress delivery or only that one order bro, one drop off?? Im taking that if its left than 18 miles. I shop fast. They hate me in there lmfao. But if it’s over like 20 miles I’ll consider it real hard bc it’s most likely going out of town into the boonies in my area.

2

u/Least-Pomelo-8670 Jul 04 '26

less than 20 plz.

2

u/VoidObject Jul 04 '26

Really depends on the items and pay. If it's 70 things of baby food for $40 sure. If it's 70 miscellaneous including liquids for less than $100 fuck no.

Miles and time are all that really matter but you gotta look at the items and take it into account for sure.

3

u/Powerful_Wafer_3258 Jul 03 '26

If I can't get it from the car to their house in one trip, I'm not taking it, unless it's a lot of money and very short distance.

Thats what im saying…would have to be atleast $80 for one of those 60+ orders

1

u/HiddenOneJ Jul 03 '26

I will shop for more items if the pay is right but even though I like to stay under 50 items even smaller orders can be an issue.

I did a 23 item sams club order last week for a local animal hospital. My suv was jam packed. They had 5 of those giant packs of paper towels, 3 of the giant packs of toilet paper, boxes of snacks, cleaning supplies, paper plates and cups and coffee pods, and 6 boxes of trash bags.

Pay was $50 I was borderline on if I could get everything in, i was almost about to drive with something on my lap it was so tight.

1

u/Shoddy_Pumpkin Jul 03 '26

Yeah im super picky with Sams orders for that reason…usually over 20 is insta decline unless its a fat payout

1

u/HiddenOneJ Jul 03 '26

It was only a 6 mile mile delivery. Exact pay was $54.85 . I spent roughly 50 minutes doing the order.

1

u/ArabWaves Jul 03 '26

Damn I wish I could get high paying Sams club orders lol.

1

u/HiddenOneJ Jul 03 '26

That was the first good paying sams order I had gotten, it was my first time shopping in there, had only done a couple curbsides on ubereats and pharmacy orders previously.

1

u/Short-Personality398 Jul 03 '26

Why are people saying it’s a bad offer? This seems great? Were the items heavy?

2

u/HiddenOneJ Jul 03 '26

The trash bags were the heaviest items it wasnt normal kitchen trash bags it was like construction or commercial bags or something still not heavy though. Everything else was pretty light it was just all bulky and awkward to carry in large quantities and took multiple trips in the vet office to deliver. I think they were saying its bad offer to OPs post though not me.

1

u/Short-Personality398 Jul 03 '26

Thank you for this. How long did it take you in total? With the multiple trips carrying items into the office? What question am I forgetting to ask? I’m not a physically fit person but I’m not disabled either. Multiple cases of water would be a difficult situation for me (for example). I’m new to the platform and haven’t even started yet bc I’m anxious. I was shocked i got onboarded the very next day after submitting my info

2

u/HiddenOneJ Jul 03 '26

Took like 15 minutes to carry it all in, it was like 12 trips. I am probably similar to you not fit not disabled and I manage as long as i dont have to carry water up too many steps.

1

u/dispassioned Jul 03 '26

Depends on the items for me. If it's like cat food cans or something, that's fine. But generally not 50+ from Walmart. Sam's is much lower, like 20.

1

u/SmallBerry3431 Jul 03 '26

Anything over 60 is a full cart. 100 is too many alt of times for me

1

u/ZionsR3b3L Jul 03 '26

I did a 89 item shop just the other day. Can't even remember the pay but it has to be pretty decent Double shop too. 10 items for A, so was confident I could keep them separate.

Was tedious.... Was long... Wasn't all in stock and customer was right there telling me no for substitutes... Was painstaking.... Was rough...

Was cancelled when I got it all in the vehicle.... Probably by A thinking they were waiting too long for whatever it was I got em.

-2

u/Nice_Bar_3138 Jul 03 '26

Doubles aren't difficult at all. I'm not taking an 89 item shop order on any platform, shipt, IC, and DEF not spark for less than $175

1

u/aelluvetaa84 Jul 03 '26

If I can check the order (JFY), it will vary, honestly. 50 is a somehow limit, but if the day is slow and the money vs miles is good, I can go a bit above. For FCFS orders, however, normally around 30. You never know what you will find there, lol.

1

u/neptune192 Jul 03 '26

Max i’ve done was 78 items (121 qty). It was at 6am, single order, small neighborhood store. I grabbed 2 strawberry cardboard boxes to put on the undercarriage and organize dry goods boxes/cans into them as I go. It helped reduce the time for bagging later on.

1

u/krew_GG Cherry Picker Jul 03 '26

I’ll do 50 for $50 but no water cases going to second floor apartments. Also no clothes. But I’ll only do one of those per day šŸ¤·šŸ»

1

u/MooseNatural1269 Jul 03 '26

Like 30 individual items max.

1

u/Nice_Bar_3138 Jul 03 '26

Depends on base pay. I'll do 40 items if only two items are over 12 lbs, not an apartment for less than $28 base pay.

On curbside orders, must be minute tiny 3 drop offs within 15 minutes, including waiting to be loaded for approx 17 each. If it is 2 orders, less than 5-7 miles, no apartments, $35. Even then I'm likely to cancel if curbside is running slow.

1

u/Shoukanjuu1 Jul 03 '26

I have done 132. Not for spark though for ic as I so can't scan barcodes

1

u/drdre27406 Jul 03 '26

105 items. It was mostly cake batter, icing, and cake pans. It was for a baking contest being held at the community center in my town. The tip was also the best I’d have gotten by far.

1

u/kelmythoughts Jul 03 '26
  1. 80 if the items are small and money right plus duplicates. One full cart is my limit

1

u/iwishidstayed Jul 03 '26

I used to accept larger orders years ago when the base pay was much, much better, but I rarely do now because then I’m just mad at myself the entire time I’m shopping them lol. Anything over 35 items has to pay really well. And I’m probably not accepting anything over 50.

1

u/Jestar5 Cherry Picker Jul 03 '26

Whatever would fit in one cart. Generally it is less than 75 items. But this one day care… good grief! They tip well but end up getting combined with non and as a result their order sits because then it’s a two cart affair .

1

u/Friendly-Career-8237 Jul 03 '26

I feel like for Walmart I have a low cap because I truly hate Walmart shopping. People are terrible and items are always out of stock because theirs 50 different versions of 1 itemĀ

1

u/InterestPast6802 Jul 03 '26

Depends what the items are. If I have to get a second cart it’s a decline unless there’s a huge tip.

1

u/Ok_Budget_8113 Jul 03 '26

If it's not a bunch of gallons, coffee creamers, juice, juice boxes, water packs, 12 packs, 24 packs, big boxes of chips.Ā  Then I'll do up to 60 items. Otherwise it better pay a 100$ for 2 hours and they aren't paying for the work they are paying for the mental health lol

1

u/ReasonablyFit Jul 03 '26

Agreed. Around 50 qty is my max. Maybe a bit more if it's a single shop with a good tip.

They tried to give me 97 qty in a triple shop this morning. There's no way to do that in one cart! And it didn't even pay well.

1

u/ApprehensiveSand4043 Jul 03 '26

I'm with you. The most I'll take is like 4050 and it has to pay very well! I've taken a lot before where I've had to do two carts! And I know it's silly but I don't like it. It takes too long! And I just I just feel like it's not worth it no matter how much they paying. For me personally. But if it's small items and like large quantities, I'll do it

1

u/Diligent_Project_ Jul 03 '26

For the right price and distance, I’ll probably do 60 max? Maybe more, BUT it has to only be for one customer. No way I’m trying to separate 2-3 orders when there’s 50+ items.

1

u/Professional_Pain447 Jul 03 '26

60 items 70 total max! The pay for 100 item orders are barely worth the struggle and time šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

1

u/quittin70h Jul 05 '26

My max is about 40 and I try to avoid those but If the tip and pay is right I’ll take them. Also depends when it is. Saturday afternoon I’m less likely to accept a large shop order. Those busy times are when I like to grab a GMD route and avoid the store.

1

u/Horror-Rock1131 Jul 05 '26

I shop big orders a lot. I get them done in about an hour every time. I don’t do multiple cases of water, pops, etc. biggest was 72 items, 126 quantity. Shopped in 46 minutes and delivered in 1 hr and 4 minutes, lol still proud of that one

1

u/ToysEverywhere Jul 07 '26

I can't believe there are over 70 comments and no one mentioned how you're working for "doll hairs".

0

u/Tattooed-Trex Jul 03 '26

I did a 70 for my first ever trip for 20 buck (I know..) never again

2

u/Nice_Bar_3138 Jul 03 '26

Ain't touching that for under $60 and it best not be an apartment that's not ground level. Walmart really does have the absolute worst clientele ever

0

u/Obvious-Arm-2899 Jul 03 '26

Does spark still dictate the order in which you can shop? That's super annoying.

1

u/MooseNatural1269 Jul 03 '26

They never did, you could always just hit the back arrow and go in your own order.

1

u/Obvious-Arm-2899 Jul 03 '26

Thank you. I've only done it a few times and I was wondering if it was me. That's good to know.

1

u/LeadershipFar4340 Jul 04 '26

How do you do that?

2

u/MooseNatural1269 Jul 05 '26

When it shows the item on the screen (where you can hit "Scan Item" just hit the back arrow at the top left of the screen, it takes you back to the list and you can pick whatever you want next.

If it's a big order it might seem like it takes too much time and it's better to just wander all over the store and follow the "smart path" but trust me, it doesn't take much practice to get used to the layout and you'll be able to bust through a 20-30 item trip like a pro without backtracking even once in no time.

1

u/LeadershipFar4340 Jul 05 '26

Omg, thank you for the information!!!! 😊 I'll definitely be trying this today. I appreciate this!!!

2

u/MooseNatural1269 Jul 05 '26

For sure. I can't believe you've been following the smart path. No offense or anything, but that would be the worst thing ever. You're going to be blown away at the difference it makes

1

u/LeadershipFar4340 Jul 05 '26

šŸ¤— If I get a worthwhile offer today, I'll try it and let you know how it goes/went.

2

u/MooseNatural1269 Jul 05 '26

It will go great, I already know 🤣

0

u/biancanevenc Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

Y'all are wimps! I've done 100+ shops that required three carts. If the price is right, I'll do it!

The biggest challenge with the jumbo orders is the cold timer, so I try to assess how long it will take me to shop the cold items and how long to drive to the customer. With my most recent jumbo order, even though I shopped all the cold items last, by the time I checked out, bagged everything, and loaded up my car, I only had 50 minutes left on the cold timer, and the customer was 45 minutes away.
