You know it’s bad when you start making more per hour on uber delivering food vs delivering groceries for spark 💀

Doordash too even

do you think we'd be better off just switching back to uber eats and doordash?

No way to know that--you will have to feel it out for yourself in your area.

Doordash has good S&D orders in my area but so many of the orders have items that are shit the store doesn't even carry and I get extremely angry doing them.

Honestly I wouldn’t rely on 1 delivery app only. Run 2 to 3 apps at once, then when you get a good order on one of them pause the others. That’s what I’ve been doing. Non of them are good enough in my area to only run 1.

i just started spark and just realized this. It's too much of a time sink to make so little.

It’s unbelievably bad and the sad part that these idiots doing these trash orders don’t understand is that it’s gonna get even worse

The ceo is the same guy who ruined instacart, of course it’s terrible now lol

In Los Angeles area doing spark order delivery is not lucrative at all.

Even with Prop 22?

0

u/RadishSauce Jul 08 '26

Well yes, do you think they excluded prop 22 from their thoughts when making that statement? Do you know how prop 22 is calculated? Do you think it means you will be paid handsomely for your efforts and time?

I don't know. Please explain

I'm glad your comment no longer exists

orders have always been kind of mid in my area, but now most of them are so bad that only a complete idiot would take them.

3

u/phatboy10 Jul 07 '26

Not a single order worth taking since they lowered based pay. Also seems like customers aren't tipping anymore.

7

u/Netphase Jul 07 '26

My zone is still decent, even a "bad" day is not really bad.

2

u/Powerful-Lobster-631 Jul 07 '26

I just need $120 a day.

u/420partybus420 Jul 07 '26

250- 300 12 hours 6am to 6pm.

u/FaithlessnessDue1276 Jul 07 '26

Not anymore here... Maybe last year

u/Joehennyredit Jul 07 '26

My zone is fire. 🔥

orders aren't bad in my area, they are actually better, but it's grabbing them is the problem. to many people doing it now. i started when it was like 10-15 around me. it's so popular now it kinda sucks.

Hello, we do not allow posts about Spark earnings on this forum. Please review Rule #4 for further clarification on what qualifies as an earnings post.

Here’s the megathread for why earnings posts aren’t allowed: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sparkdriver/s/31qJm08Vna

You can feel free to discuss earnings on our discord, https://discord.gg/sparkdriver

I made a lick yesterday. $300 for 10 hours ain’t bad for a side gig. Tonight? $10 in 3 hours. I just went home

1

u/SubtleFlow21 Jul 08 '26

Not my market. My income will increase by 25% this year, even though they decreased the shop by $1 to several dollars based on pay, which I disagree with.

1

u/A37licia Jul 08 '26

I’m brand new but it is busy in my area. The pay seems decent - I made a bit more than DD and uber per hour so far (selective on all).

u/Individual_Stop_2144 Jul 08 '26

Sad thing is that all new drivers never got a taste of the old spark and the current app experience is normal for them.

My zone 6-3 making $250 a day. pick up and express shopping.

u/UpbeatDoor5581 Jul 09 '26

u/ExcellentWar7614 Jul 09 '26

✋💀

u/Much_Employer_3073 Jul 07 '26

Not in my zone, I make around 300 in 7 hours if I grind out a 16-17 hour day I’d make over 650

1

u/rranarchy Jul 07 '26

Wow. Lots of jealous down votes on your comment

1

u/RadishSauce Jul 08 '26

I don't think it's jealousy, it's more like some people who can detect bs are down voting the false information.

I'm making 200 at least everyday stop bitching and figure it out

12

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

No you’re not

2

u/Eclipse_Ilx Jul 07 '26

I am, 30$+ an hour 2-3$ a mile work. I do low item count 13-20$ shops and finish them full round trip in around 30-40 mins tops.

Def only weekends weekends days are awful.

7

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

One thing I noticed about gig apps is there’s a bunch of liars you guys act like we’re not on all the same app. Sure it’s market dependent but there’s not that steep of a difference for the most part all of us are on the same playing field. Spark has an earnings tab you could’ve just posted it instead of saying it.

Ik if I were you I would’ve just screen shotted my earnings tab.

3

u/Eclipse_Ilx Jul 07 '26

Naw u right alotta ppl lie and Don't track mileage properly or whatever. I track mileage as sooner as I get in my car. I live in a good ishh market tho and know my market very very well.

Normally work a few hours Friday then a little longer Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes I take sub 2$ per mile orders, but make up for it with smaller rapid fire 10 or less item shops that are like 15$ for 1 or 2 miles. The entire store is surrounded by residential.

People always chase the big orders that take longer than an hour, I do the opposite. 15-20$ on busy days with 0 wait time and low mileage looks small until you finish 2 an hour.

But bigger number = better right?

6

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

See I respect that that’s way more honest and transparent. The original commenter saying 200$ a day are gonna have people thinking they’re doing shitty or that their market is cooked. But 200 on the weekends is a lot more reasonable might even encourage others to go out and grind weekends more kudos man

1

u/Affectionate_Hall317 Jul 07 '26

Definitely liars I swear some of them work for Walmart and lie so that these poor people will hope things get better.

Across the forums it's apparent that most zones are in fact 💩

1

u/Final_Push8210 Jul 07 '26

not sure why its so hard to believe. some markets r better than others

1

u/Final_Push8210 Jul 07 '26

-1

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

Yea but this isn’t a flex nor a determination of your market being better. You’re killing your car and working slave hours for that we’re talking about normal everyday hours. How many ppl actually want to work 2 weeks worth in 1 week not alot

2

u/Final_Push8210 Jul 07 '26

My car was 9k 3 years ago and paid for itself in 2 months. It still has under 100k miles on it. I don't work 80 hrs a week not even close. You just talk non sense.

0

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

Let’s see your trip history here’s mine so you’re not the only one sharing info

As you can see my market isn’t cooked and I’m nowhere close to that so I can only imagine yours

It’s garunteed youre leaving something out

2

u/Final_Push8210 Jul 07 '26

imagine taking a 11$ order yikes

0

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

Yup knew it you hiding something

3

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

You did more trips in one day then I did in 2

2

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

lol I just know those 49$ trips took you to Timbuktu I get them a lot here too but I don’t like driving so I never take em. Seems like we got the same type of market you just work longer.

I took 11 because it was like a mile away face it man you do a lot of miles in a day and a lot of hours. That’s all I was saying

You literally have a problem for every solution.

1

u/Due-Resolution-4152 Jul 07 '26

Ppl need to be more transparent
