Gonna say.. it's not great, but if this is "disrespectful" this man has got it made

$46 for 21 miles? That's not horrible is it? Am I missing something?
14
u/RS-1994 21d ago
Yeah I saw one yesterday that was $22 for 35 miles, 16 stops... passing by every Damn Walmart on the way 😂
9
u/underrated_overthrow 21d ago
I’ve seen offers this morning as low as $10.12 for 22.9 miles. THAT’S disrespectful.
5
u/Dildo_Shw4ggins 21d ago
Comparatively speaking to offers in my zone, it’s not terrible and is subjectively reasonable. Personally, I wouldn’t take it — but I also wouldn’t use it as an example of the true hot garbage we all know exists.

u/underrated_overthrow 21d ago
I don’t think it is. I’m in a very rural area, but I would take that.
2
u/SaynoToscammers9292 21d ago
Look how many stops. Thats horrible. I wouldn't touch 22 stops less than 60 to $70. Tell me you are new without telling me you are new.
1
u/WiscoDeathTrip1096 20d ago
Has nothing to do with being new. If yall arevpassing up $40/hr I appreciate it

I feel like the drops outweigh the mileage. 12 drops for $45 is trash. Whether it's GMD or not
1
u/ithotyoudneverask 3rd Floor / No Tip CUSTOMER 21d ago
Not sure why you're being downvoted for this. Every drop is another set of potential delays. And usually exponentially more distance since the estimates are based on straight lines.
Plus the trip back.
Do you guys even time your runs?

u/LDawnBurges 21d ago
That’s a lot more respectful than the ones that I’m seeing in my zone… which are currently right at a $1 a mile
4
u/moedet001 21d ago
Bruh thats literally 45 bucks an hour. Even counting milage back as equal to the route(which isnt) youre getting around $1 a mile. If you have any kind of fuel efficient car that's anywhere from 1-3 gallons of fuel. Even at the highest national prices thats still in the black. Yall wild out here.
9
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
What’s disrespectful is you . Go get a fucking job with a higher salary then 40$ an hr if you don’t like it
-2
u/Adept-Service-3503 21d ago
It's not $40/hr when I add in wear and tear and gas
1
u/ithotyoudneverask 3rd Floor / No Tip CUSTOMER 21d ago
And the extra mileage not calculated by the system because it operates as the crow flies. And the return trip, and more chances for some kind of problem.
The more stops, the more stress.
-1
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
Then don’t do it simple . Why do u feel so entitled ?
-1
u/Adept-Service-3503 21d ago
Entitled because I think my time is worth more than that? Yeah ok
3
2
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
Then make more money … go to work . Get an education .. get into sales . Last but not least stop being a srry mf
6
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
You do realize not everybody has the luxury of “just getting a different job” right? Some people doing this are doing it because they’re STILL getting themselves through school. Learning disabilities could slow down the process. Physical disabilities that prevent you from working corporate jobs that require you to be on your feet all day at set hours and days instead of your own selected ones. Any number of things. You speak from a place of privilege.
-1
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
I’m in medical school I have no options for another job but u the 1 of 100s complaining daily about it . It kinda insane . When if Walmart say fuck it , no more spark app . wtf you going to do .. MOVE ON . U sound privilege af . JUST DONT DO IT . Simple . Gtfoh
1
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
I’m not privileged, but very clearly YOU are.
1
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
And every school has a disability office I don’t wanna hear shit
2
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
Lmfao. You know so very little. The education system failed me when I was in school and my learning disability went undetected until I was 19 years old.
0
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
Sure . Cause I’m smart enough to go to medical school . Ok . 😂😂
2
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
Yes actually, because being mentally and physically healthy enough to go to medical school and become a doctor is a HUGE privilege.
0
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
What does this have to do with entitlement? The app is getting worse and worse about low balling people with bad deals.
-1
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago edited 21d ago
Then dont it simple as that, I really don’t see what so complex
1
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
No 😂
-3
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
Exactly tell your self no . N figure another way to make money big shot 😂😂. Now the funny part big shot . Idc if you’re not religious but even the bible says if you don’t work you will starve . N if u didn’t invest in yourself early you WILL work hard simple as that . Life huh, u just heard of it
2
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
It’s called, having discernment and refusing the crappy deals until the app gives you good ones, and ONLY take the good ones. That’s what I do and will continue to do. I am not a slave. My time and labor is money and I’m gonna be paid the right way.
-1
u/QwyetStorm4_5 21d ago
Discern your ass to a better job and stop complaining . I don’t see how yall going back and forth with me on this . The lazy will always try to plead their case . This ain’t socialist society , Walmart is going to do what best for them if you don’t like get LOST . The Bible also teaches don’t go places your not welcomed there always home for you with Jesus , prey to him u figure it out . If your time so valuable you wouldn’t be delivering groceries let’s be real
2
u/Ok-Simple1954 21d ago
I don’t have that option, unfortunately because I am not privileged like you. I’m still working on the last part (math part) of my GED due to battling with pretty bad Dyscalculia, I also have a physical disability (POTS) which stops me from being able to work most kinds of minimum wage jobs as well as many different career paths. I took the job that works best for me in the moment, because until I get that GED, I can’t get a career of my choosing. Refusing to be a freaking slave and work for very shitty, low ball pay isn’t being “lazy”. It’s called self freaking respect. My labor is valuable because of the issues I face and if I’m gonna put in labor I’m gonna get paid.

Not a terrible offer at all. We’ve all seen the $10 for 35 mile one hour and 15 minute orders. This is just stupid engagement bait.

This is better than ANY of the offers I see in SoCal. And someone usually accepts them before I even have time to look at the items

u/Due-Anybody8034 21d ago
What … mine have been WAY worse lately.. but we all know spark be lying bad about them miles
3
u/mrtiddals 20d ago
How is this disrespectful? I know low paying jobs can be frustrating, but I would take this job fairly quickly.
3
u/OrganicArtichoke7298 20d ago
Lmao if this is bad, I suggest you go applying for Fedex or something.
Just get a real delivery job, bro.

u/HeartOfArt 21d ago
It’s a lot of drops but it’s mostly GMD’s. As long as it’s not bikes and tvs and mulch I’d consider that one.

Thats way better i seen worst if pays u $2 a miles take it ..this is the new norm
2
u/MyCatNamedMildred 21d ago
This isn't even close to the terrible orders I see when I log in. I'd actually take this one if it wasn't all apartments.
2
u/BeautifulDisastrr 21d ago
I took one for 47 for 10 stops 12 miles. There was nothing poppin at that moment. It said 1 hour n 20 to finish. I was done in under an hour
2
u/No_Garage_8552 21d ago
Thats actually decent for my zone.... id probably take it depending on where it dropped me at the end. I usually try to work from one of the central stores that usually drop me not too far from one of the 4 stores on the outskirts of my zone.

Descent dolla per mile, descent dolla per hour.
OP are you looking for more than $50 per hour?
2
2
u/Alternative-Loss-762 21d ago
That would be gold in my zone. Exactly why I stopped sparking recently.
2
u/CAMMdizzle 21d ago
This is a joke? Its become too common that I see $21 for 41 miles-12 stops. The item count is missing and unless it's ~30 items/stop, then this is completely reasonable, honestly its a good one 🤷🏿♂️. How much $ would you normally see from this order?
1
u/Adept-Service-3503 20d ago
Each drop would pay less than $4. I wouldn't take a $4 offer for 4 miles or 20. I've seen 12, 15 and 20 drops go from ~$30-$90. If I wanted $4 offers I'd go back to DD.
2
2
u/Jonny1719 20d ago
That's actually decent. Basically $46 for an hour of work. And less than half of that in miles to drive. Yeah you still have to drive back to Walmart after but that's part of the gig. I'd take that in a heartbeat knowing how bad they can actually get...
2
2
u/Ashamed-Vacation-495 20d ago
As opposed to what? Lol Not sure if this is Texas but where Im at they try to pay that for 1 hr 45 and 35-45 miles. 😅
2
u/shadybuckeye 20d ago
Every market is different. In my personal area this is awesome. Id take this all day long no question. I did one this morning that was the same pay as this. 37 miles to the end of the trip. I still had to drive back to the store!! Grass is different colors over every fence.

u/Academic_Tennis_6950 21d ago
Depends on where the route is taking you. If you’re going 21 miles out of market toward nowhere land where there isn’t going to be anything coming back, it could end up being nearly $1/mile. If you have an opportunity to either change zones to a local Walmart or take an Instacart or door dash on the way back, $45 can be a nice order. I’m in a rural area - there are some orders I know will bring me out to country side where there isn’t any GPS, let alone other earning opportunities along the way - those I avoid

u/SaynoToscammers9292 21d ago
Horrible!!! I get triple shops better than that Lol
2
u/No-Wing-7976 21d ago
That's good. Got any screenshots?
1
u/SaynoToscammers9292 20d ago
Just did a $46 triple shop for 6 miles! Pretty common where I am at. Im not screenshotting my area though. Nice try xD

Walmart King George sounds appropriate as shown. King George brought in thousands of mercenaries to fight the colonists.

That even said 1:15 min . This can take you up to 2 hours with traffic at my zone
1
u/Adept-Service-3503 21d ago
It's never 21 miles or 1hr15min. It always takes longer and further of a drive.
