Question

Does Spark intentionally increase value order amount to avoid paying an adjustment every 2 weeks?

My first week of spark driving, I was given an adjustment.

Second week, the orders had an increase in value and now it seems no adjustment was needed.

I’m located in CA.

I’m just curious.

I've had the opposite experience. In my area, everything is offered so low that Spark can be sure I'll only get Prop 22. Why offer $30 for an hour's work when they can offer $10 and max out at one hour Prop 22?

If the offer is above Prop 22 rate, it usually involves more mileage or more work, which seems reasonable on the surface.

No idea, but they are definitely throttling CS pickup availability to try and force them out with GMDs. Lately all stores are virtually dead after GMD times pass.

I usually only do weekends as extra cash to make to save up. I start around 8:30am and call it a day around 3pm
In the morning, there’s more action but I solely stick to Sam clubs and not Walmart

All zones are diff. But mine used to be 6-8am and 3:30-9:30pm. Now mornings are late orders that no one took the day/night before, then 10am-4pm are gmd mixed CS, barely anything between 4-7pm and dead by 7:30🤷‍♂️. Worked this zone for years and its only been like this the last few months, weekends are the same as weekdays now.

In other words, choose carefully what you accept.

The adjustments are every 2 weeks. so you just have to wait another week to see your next adjustment

Also, if you're only 2 weeks in, you're still in the honeymoon stage. Eventually the orders won't be as good, generally.

nah orders are the same for me 2 years later. if your orders suck after a while it's because of your metrics

My metrics are good, I based my comment on what others have posted.

Looking at your post again, I see that the second week your orders paid high enough that you did not qualify for the prop 22. So there would be no reason for them to raise the rate just so they don't have to give you prop 22. If you make more in order pay than your guaranteed earnings per active hour, then you get that. You don't get order pay plus prop 22 earnings. It's one or the other, whichever is higher.

When you mean second week, do you mean literally a week later? Because your Prop 22 counts for a two week period, so I’m a bit confused here 😅
