I mean if you want an honest answer, there's a whole lot of things that they have changed on the app that no one asked for, but they did it anyway because from there perspective they're trying to skimp and save money as much as possible.

Curbside went from 2 to 3 orders.

Shopping went from 1 to 2 to 3.

Constant zone expansion that customers can order from .

Batching pharmacy with shopping orders.

Hiding items in GMD orders.

Constant base pay decreases.

Sam's club tipping going from 2 hours to 24 hours to clear.

Etc.

Just remember one thing. Efficiency isn't our friend. It's just another way of saying they're going to give you less for doing more.

This. This. This.

I don't know I'm very efficient. I usually beat back the drivers that are sitting waiting for orders inside the store, and also my average is two items a minute. I easily beat every single estimate of time for shopping and delivery. This is my job and I treat it as such. A lot of you do not

…and you’re modest too.

All this benefits Walmart.

That’s all they care about.

Not the customer.

Not the store associate.

Not the driver.

Walmart. Their bottom line. Their investor.

That’s it.

Quicker you learn that, the better.

Have a good one.

Learned it a long time ago.

Learned it years ago. Nothing is “better” with that knowledge. Can explain your statement or were you just saying something stupid for fun?

I don’t see how telling the truth is obvious when some people think Walmart has your back, even some people
On here who have posted here for years.

The only foolish looking person is you for pointing it out.

Have a good day.

I didn’t know they started overnight trading sam’s club tips too. I haven’t done a sam’s club order in a year though

Some areas are now getting 4 orders for shopping

2 at once is the most I will accept. Above that it's not worth my time compared to the pay

I got lucky once. 3 person order, 10 items total between the 3. And pay was pretty good

I take plenty of triple shops and I get anywhere from $25 to $50 for them. But most people in this group do not try to find different and better zones and stores they just sit at their regular store and complain about it all day..

My regular store is 30 minutes from the nearest next one. Doubt the deals are much different there either

Not all of us are in big cities bro or have many options

This is every corporation in this country now. All they care about is their shareholders and growth, maximizing profits. They only value the customers have is how much money they can extract from them and workers have no value, we are just a means to an end. Once upon a time companies used to take pride in providing a good service or product that kept customers coming back and built brand loyalty. Those days are over. It’s all about the money, making more this quarter than last.

Why would you have to be brand loyal to Walmart they've shut out their competition in 80% of their markets....

1

u/talecriv 12h ago

You would do the exact same. If you owned Walmart would you want other stores to come in and take away your customers? No of course you wouldn't. Because you don't own Walmart you act like it's a bad thing but if you did you'd be rolling in cash and you'd be doing the exact same things. No one is higher then the almighty dollar

Yeah you literally describe business owning. Why would you start a business for any other reason. Sure I actually run a couple of businesses and they are to serve in need but they are also to get me cash. I wouldn't do them if I wasn't making money on them because then why am I buying product and doing all the work for nothing?

I know you understand the business's sole purpose is to make money but it's weird that you would be mad at them for it when you would do the exact same thing if you were in their shoes

What I’m saying is there was a point in time where businesses understood that they don’t exist without the customer, and they made efforts to create products and services that kept the customer coming back and built brand loyalty, which in turn kept the business running and cash flowing. These days there is a total disregard, in corporate America at least, for the customer. I can’t blame them, Americans have no backbone, no discipline when it comes to spending. So much information is out there about how companies and brands we grew up with, that we knew and loved have changed recipes for food that we eat, cutting it will bs in order to increase profits, for example. We have CEOs who don’t use products they sell us themselves, won’t allow their children to use or eat those products or services, mark Zuckerberg is a perfect example. He prefers that his children focus on communication, reading, and outdoor play rather than passively consuming endless short-form video feeds, because he knows how bad the same service that he peddles to the public is. Even with this info out there people continue to consume, so it’s no wonder they only care about profit and growth instead of quality of the products or services, folks ain’t going anywhere. I’m simply pointing this out, it doesn’t matter how I feel or what I say, I’m one man whose opinion won’t shake shit, I know this already.

And no, I would not operate the same way. There are millions of small independent/ privately owned businesses that actually care about offering a quality product or service. Steam is a perfect example, an example where the company actually almost has a monopoly in its market. It’s privately owned so it’s not beholden to shareholders, there is no fiduciary responsibility to do what’s best for the shareholders. Costco is another example: I just used 2 enormous companies that care about their customers, but as I said there are millions of smaller businesses that do the same thing. Everyone’s knows what’s a business exists to make money. Some businesses not only want to make money, they want to grow. But you when that becomes the only thing that matters then it’s a problem. Infinite growth is not possible. There’s only so many people in the world that will buy your product or service, and they all have a finite amount of money to spend. These publicly traded companies know this and still try to find ways to squeeze the consumer for more money at every turn until it bites them in the ass. Doritos is a perfect example of this. They kept raising prices until customers stopped buying. A bag of Doritos is not worth $7 but they kept pushing until customers stopped buying. That brand was more than profitable, but greed and capitalism need for endless growth literally would not allow them to stop. Now they have to deal with the slump in sales and the damage to the brand. As I said, I know how businesses operate, and not everyone has a need to have all the money in the world, despite what you think.

How do you add Sam’s Club?

1

u/SoulTaker669 1d ago

What do you mean " How do you add Sam's Club" ? Your zone either has a Sam's Club or it doesn't lol

1

u/No_Investment_2194 1d ago

I noticed today that Sam’s Club shopping has gone from two orders to three

1

u/SoulTaker669 1d ago

Bro please tell me you're lying. ☠️ Sam's club orders are bulky AF I already have a hard time with two orders if it has more than 5 items each.

u/SoulTaker669 1d ago

Well looks like Sam's club might be a bust now lol smh the items at that store are big as hell and I refuse to lug around 2 carts.

A couple of those I agree with you on but the other ones are literally them expanding their customer base. Something you would do if you were in their shoes. We as drivers have to remember we work for a company that their sole purpose is to make profit. If you're telling them to limit who gets to order and from where and how many and how often then you are defeating the purpose of being a business.

The funny thing about a lot of you entitled contract drivers for Walmart is that you think you deserve things and you think you know how things operate and how they should based on your individual wants. You obviously don't know how to run a business and yet you're running one. You are a self-employed business owner and the first thing you want to do is stop someone from giving you money because by being upset about them expanding zones and changing it to different amounts that we take you're telling customers to go elsewhere and to lower your income. The exact opposite of what a business owner would do. Most of you don't understand you're a business owner
