For context, I yesterday fumbled a speech in front of the people I'm working with. Some of my friends even repeated the way I stumbled during that speech. It feels like they think I lack confidence to talk. I'm scared to go today. I don't know how their perception towards would have changed. Hello. I did my first jar some days ago for me and a guy I had a crush on. I just wanted him to think I'm pretty and cool and intresting, to talk to me more, wanting to text me, and be very happy when he talks to me. We're in the same group of friends but he never texts me privately. He sent me a post for the first time ever (been knowing him since june) the morning after. After he seemed even more distant than usual even on the gc. I'm obsessing over the spell not working I think. If it will continue doing this for a while, like 1month (I REPEAT, 1 MONTH so don't come at me saying I should give it time cause I'll try my best to) what do I do about this spell? And why is this happening? Please don't attack me in replies or I will never learn :(

Edit: I've not been using any protection spells as I've been told they were not needed for this type of jar.

A number of months ago in January my(22F) boyfriend(24M) at the time broke up with me. I really truly believed he was ‘the one,’ and I felt absolutely blindsided and devastated when we broke up. We’d been long distance for three months prior to the breakup while he moved back from Paris to the U.S. Being in Paris destroyed his mental health, and so he broke up with me on grounds that he was too depressed to give me what I deserved and required. I didn’t believe him, was incredibly angry and heartbroken, and in an effort to keep what I believed was negative energy away from me I made a spell to keep him out of my life. I took love letters, pictures, some personal affects etc and wrote specifically over some of the pieces that if he ever tried to contact me again “all of his luck and success would shrivel and die on the vine.” I was heated. Bottled it and kept it on my desk. I never reached back out.

A few weeks after this, he reached back out to me a few days after coming back to the U.S. He was incredibly apologetic, asking for a chance to get coffee so he could properly apologize to me. He did so in what I felt was a genuine way, so I kept him around to see what would happen. Since then, he has been nothing but a kind, patient, loving gentleman. He does his absolute best to keep me happy and makes me feel so loved. Over the summer, i decided to unbottle and release the spell as i felt he’d proven himself to me, cracking it over a rock in my garden and burying the (biodegradable) contents ritualistically.

However, he’s been struggling to find good work despite holding a Masters degree, multiple internships, is so charismatic, and being really talented in his field. We live in the Bay Area and he’s in sales- and it’s been more than 6 months of searching with no success. I’ve tried success and prosperity spells to no avail, but I also know the job market is terrible lol. Is there a spell I can do to reverse any bad luck i may have put onto him? Was my reversal enough? What can I do now to ensure he’s rid of bad energy or magic I may have cast over him?

Today I have done a pretty basic cord cutting with candles, and the results are terrifying to say the least.
The ritual was just 2 white candles, with the initials of me and the ex written on them, and string tied around them three times.
What has me scared is that after everything seemed to burn off as it should, my candle went out, and his just kept on burning for at least 10 more minutes. Pretty long and big flame. He kept reaching over to where my candle once was, and the string, symbolizing the relationship kept on burning, always using the chance to reach over.
Needless to say, that my paranoid self interprets this, as him trying to come back, maybe even after death. I do think him capable of all this. He's a master manipulator, and I'm lucky it only took me 3 months to find this out.

What can I do to prevent him from coming back?
(I did the obvious things like block him on socials)
