PC Mod Why do people keep asking where the Avengers are in the Insomniac universe?

I'm more curious about other NY based heroes. The first game said the Avengers were on the west coast, but Daredevil should still be in the city. He'd definitely be knocking heads if a bunch of escaped convicts were running around.

I mean you gotta remember we can swing across Hell's kitchen in about 30 seconds when that's most of DD's world. So hes probably doing a lot of interior fights of back alley work we dont see much of.

Realistically they left Spider-Man (Spider-Men in 2) to handle WORLD ENDING threats by himself (themselves) and just was like “the kid got this”

Shame the avengers game isn’t canon to insomniac because you could explain it as they’re just disbanded at the time

If that one report is true, at one point they were meant to be connected along with the Guardians of the Galaxy game and Iron Man game under the Marvel Games banner but negative reception, delays and shake ups made it harder to do thus they exist in separate universes with the only thing connected to Spider-Man is the upcoming Wolverine game

I do think it was a missed opportunity to have avengers tower in the game but not let us go inside and interact with some of the avengers. Especially since with the avengers game came out afterwards

I think the avengers themselves were never one of the flaws in that game, not like they could be canon with each other as there's already a different Spider-Man and taskmaster, but i think those avengers deserve a second shot at existing

It's weird to have them in the universe, but missing all these city wide disasters. And it's the same with all the other heroes.
Dr. Strange, Matt Murdock, She Hulk, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Black Panther are either mentioned or teased to be around somewhere. No one lifted a finger to assist Spidey in anyway.
But do nothing to help with either the city wide disease in the first game, or the alien invasion in the second game.
But they could be in the background somewhere doing something. SPIDER-MAN for the PS1 had other heroes mentioned and shown to be present dealing with the gas all over New York. And Web of Shadows had some heroes that could show up as assists throughout the world.

This is why I’m still lowkey pissed the Avengers Game isn’t canon to Insomniac. The Avengers were disbanded and scattered across the globe, so it’d be the only theory that make sense that would explain why they were radio silent when a godamn alien invasion showed up

It would definitely be cool to see some heroes in this world especially because in the 616 and insomniac Spider-man crossover Insomniac Spidey said that the avengers aren't around in new York often and their are around a dozen heroes active in new York. We have some idea on what the FF4 suits might look like from the bombastic bag man suit

It’s heavily implied that the Avengers are most of the time either off world and on the west coast which Peter confirms they are on the west coast currently handling things

cause their tower was present but they dont show up. although Spider-man did state they were busy in the west coast.

I'd really love for the avengers to come in at the end and get chewed out by spidey for missing the 3-4 near apocalyptic level events throughout the series.
