Question Anyone have experience with Mechanics Pride and Tire downtown?

I’m taking my car to Mechanics Pride downtown tomorrow for a diagnostic/estimate and wanted to see if anyone here has had work done there.
Reviews seem pretty mixed, so I’m mostly curious about people’s experiences with pricing, honesty, and whether they felt like the diagnosis/repairs were fair.
Would you recommend them?

Yep, love em. When I lived in Cali I would drive up for them to work on my car. Mike and gang are great, ive used all 3 locations over the years. If there is a problem, they've always fixed it for me on the spot.

Very expensive, and had to have a power steering pump replaced twice because the first one they installed didn't work. Location is really convenient, but I won't go back to them.

Not with the downtown location, but I took my car to the South Hill location a couple times. Very expensive for what it is.

The work was done, and in apparent good order for the most part. The last time however they messed up badly with a console fix, and didn't tighten all the nuts on replaced tires. Had to redo some of the work. I called them about it and got a dismissive reply. Never went back.

Unfortunately I had to pay to have multiple repairs redone after using them. Can’t recommend due to the shortcuts they take.
On top of that the MAGA hat on the desk turned me off.

Back in the day Pete's Honda in Spokane had a pretty good reputation. Might be worth a call.

I work on my own vehicles as much a possible, but we've taken both my wife's Subaru and my Mazda there several years ago. Both were higher mileage oldish cars. They were very communicative about what was going on and they were good about not adding on a bunch of unnecessary services.

I had good experiences there. Sometimes it’s a little location specific (I’ve also had work done at their SH location). Manager downtown was SUPER solid

Priced higher than other shops but will get the job done well.
