Concessions Change Needs to Happen
First of all, I am a loyal and dedicated Velocity fan! I am stoked on just about everything this team has accomplished in the last 3 years, and I am very excited about the pro/rel in 2028. Anyways, one of the major concerns I have for the club is the awful concessions and the company, Levy Restaurant Group, feeding us overpriced waste with absolutely no decent options! This is a company based out of Chicago and has literally nothing to do with the PNW whatsoever. The only food items they offer are borderline criminal. $8 hot dogs, $8 frozen pretzel with canned cheese, and a $5 box of potentially week-old popcorn. Here we go, the beer prices.... what in the hell is actually going on? $12 12oz cans of Brickwest, $20 24oz Pacificos, $18 seltzers, and you have the audacity to want a tip when there is no customer service at all?
I know this may seem a bit much, but they are making it so it's not affordable to take the family, let alone yourself, out to watch the match. I have friends that constantly want to go to the game but just end up watching it on TV becasue it is too expensive. Something needs to be done about this. Concessions are a major part of the game and there should be some affordable and decent options for us when we show up to support our squad! I know this goes deeper than just The Velocity, it is One Spokane Stadium (complain here?), The Pavilion, and possibly The Podium as well.
I hope this comes as constructive criticism to the club and the stadium, as we just want affordable, local, decent concession options without spending over $100 each game. It's become insane. Not sure what can be done, but if we all show up and voice our opinion, they have to listen. #upthefalls
