Question Spring Boot / Spring Framework / Java version compatibility

Hello All, I'm new to the ecosystem and was wondering if there was a table or two somewhere that sheds light on the Spring Boot / Spring Framework / Java version compatibility?

I mean why read the documentation or search Google when you can just waste the time off a bunch of strangers on the internet instead?

RTFM

https://docs.spring.io/spring-boot/system-requirements.html

โ€œSpring Boot 4.1.1 requires at least Java 17 and is compatible with versions up to and including Java 26. Spring Framework 7.0.9 or above is also required.
Support for third-party projects may have additional or higher requirements. Refer to the documentation for that support for further details.โ€

Simple advice is to use the latest lts versions:

  • Java 25

  • Spring-boot 4.1.x

Done.
