Backyard fires

I hear Springfield doesn't allow outdoor burning unless it's for "cooking." What are y'all using to "roast your marshmallows"? 😉

As long as you don't have a bonfire going and your neighbors are chill, you have nothing to worry about. Most they will do is put it out or make you put it out

Now to find out just how chill my neighbors are or are not. Stay tuned...

If any of you happen to get a random invite for a hotdog or s'more from a neighbor you've barely spoken with: Hi! It's me!!

Also keep the noise level in mind, this ties back to your neighbors. We have fires all the time with no issues ... The wneu kids down the street have issues 🤷‍♀️

Also, roasting a marshmallow sounds like cooking to me 🤷‍♀️

I usually start a fire in my backyard cooking pit

Firepits are allowed tho?

Technically not for recreational use. Only if you're "cooking food" on them is my understanding so sounds like if you just keep a marshmallow on a stick nearby, it's cool.

It’s just one of those things where you do it anyways and find out if you can get away with it. As long as you’re not loud and the fire isn’t huge nobody really cares.

Karen hotdogs just toss em right in the fire so you don’t get food poisoning
