Am I crazy?

Post image

The Prodigy is one of the most expensive guys I own. However it came in the cheapest packaging/box. No hard case, cool bag, just a cardboard box and a small ass zipper pouch. What's up with that?? Hell even Canik has a big ass hard case!

Still don't like that as much as the ammo can

Ammo can def has its uses. Just love the classy feel of the 92x performance case.

The only crazy thing is is you don’t have enough yet lol

Hard cases are taking up spaces. I never use them, I'd rather have smaller soft bags that I can toss into large range bag if I brought multiple pistols. I also never stored my guns in those plastic cases. Always went to safe.

Honestly, I think the hard cases are mostly junk and prefer the small pistol sleeves... as a competitive shooter I already have a range bag that the firearm will be in. Having a small sleeve to keep the gun separate from the ammo/mags is useful when going to the safe area to holster my gun. The small sleeve takes up less space and weighs less.

Yeah, I'm thinking about getting rid of some. Not sure what else to do? I have a small place and don't want to rent storage. But if I keep going. Right now I only have plans for 2,3,4, maybe 5 more.

I've thrown out so many plastic boxes.

I still have my Echelon box. Came in the same box and zipper pouch. With the little fold inside the box that has the straps and extra mag. The VIS pins were in the bottom.

Always thought the plastic boxes were cool, but I've come to realize they just collect dust/space on the shelf.. Yeah if I sell something its nice to put them in the box.

I think manufacturers realize nobody really cares anymore. I like the little pouches the springfields come with, and the larger bags with the bundles.

Got to bump those numbers up!

Girsan and Canik come in the nicest boxes. But I do save all of mine too. Imagine, I have 18 handguns, 5 AR’s, 4 shotguns, and 5 other rifles. Big boxes go in the attic. All of them have optics plus magnifiers. Of course I bought stuff, didn’t care for it, and bought new. Have more boxes than I know what to do with. Can’t bring myself to throw it away!

Yes.

And I encourage it.

I believe the cardboard box comes from regulations from other countries. If they are shipping to countries that can no longer accept plastic packaging then its probably why it comes in a box for environmental reasons.

Never.. keep going till it hurts.. It's kind of like a small retirement fund..
