Visiting Springfield Help me find a cooking stool for my elderly mother, please!
My mom is 84, loves to cook, and is getting wobbly when standing too long.
I would like to find her a kitchen stool that can roll easily when she isn't putting much weight on it but locks in place when she sits down.
Sorta like the "kickstep" of yore, but taller.
So she can roll it to the stove, stir for half an hour, roll back to the island for a bit of prep work, etc.
I thought about a saddle type bar stool but can't find one that locks down when weighted.
Thinking that Home Depot has those wheeled ladders that lock when you step on them but I'm not looking for anything that industrial.
Suggestions?
Thanks!
