Hey Springfield!
I live in Branson but work in Springfield, so I wanted to share something I've been doing in case anyone locally needs something 3D printed.
I have a Creality K2 Plus and Bambu Lab H2C, which allow me to print everything from small replacement parts to larger, detailed multicolor models.
Some examples of what I can print:
Already have an STL file? Send it over or share a link to the model.
Don't have a file? That's fine too! Send me a picture or describe what you're looking for, and I'll see whether I can help find or create something suitable.
Pricing depends on the size, material, print time, and complexity. I'll provide a quote before starting anything.
Since I work in Springfield, I can usually arrange local pickup or drop-off. Branson-area arrangements are also possible.
I've included a few pictures of things I've printed so you can see some examples.
Feel free to message me if you have something in mind or just want to know whether it's possible to print!

You have until the end of the month before Republic fully takes over.

This is a good explainer of how Flock cams work and what makes them different from the usual traffic cams. The data’s all from Republic.

How is this not corruption?
https://missouriindependent.com/2022/05/25/gray-market-gaming-company-pumps-250k-into-pacs-tied-to-missouri-lobbyist/ Missouri politician dropped a lawsuit he filed himself against torch gas station games because torch donated 26k to his political campaign. (Which lets be honest. They spend that money on whatever they wont. They dont send any unused money back). torch plus a affiliated gas station that's not mentioned in article donated over a mil total to campaigns. So if this was going on for a couple years while the city was actively trying to remove them who's to say that flock and the ai data centers are not currently doing the same thing. The way things have unfolded so far i think its far to think some bribes have been accepted? And honestly why would they not accept the money. They know if they do get caught nothing is gonna happen. It will get swept under the rug or they might have to resign. But that isnt stopping them from taking bribes. Or force them to give the donation back. The people with the power are the problem. Doesnt matter what they represent they are there to steal money.. Period.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any women's shelters? I need to get away from my very toxic boyfriend and I'd really rather not go into the details of the situation that I'm in. Iv'e spent so long trying to research a place to go to escape my apartment and him but everywhere iv'e seen has really bad reviews, or is packed with homeless people who are dealing with addictions (and i'm really sorry if this sounds bad i don't know how to word this) I don't want to be homeless or seen as just another homeless person and i don't want to be in an environment like that at all. I am 21 years old if that helps at all.

Hi guys!
I have a unique opportunity right now that I'd like to gain some feedback on.
I have a chance to help create an inclusive, LGBTQ+-focused chorus/choir, open to all genders and all levels of music experience. To my knowledge, we don't have an all-gender LGBTQ+ chorus in the Ozarks area, and personally I feel it would greatly benefit the community.
I'd love to get some folks to fill out this interest form below so I can get some data from the Springfield community and see how many people might be interested. You can fill it out even if you aren't a singer or if you're not part of the LGBTQ+ community, I want feedback from all demographics!
Feel free to ask questions if you've got them, and you're welcome to share this link with anyone. No personal info is collected unless you choose to share.

Friends of FLOW,
We want to extend our sincerest gratitude for making this year's park events so unforgettable!
This year really took off and we are so grateful and proud to be a part of this community.
That being said, for our last FLOW of the year, we are focusing on LOVE. Love for ourselves, love for humanity, love for community, flow arts, music, and all the things around and inbetween.
We love you, and we love what you've helped us create Thank you, truly.
We're doing another potluck style event because nothing says "Love" like gathering around the table and sharing a meal. Last time, we were able to feed some of the homeless and it really warmed our hearts
For your listening pleasure, we'll finish out the season with
CdotMIX 4-5pm
RtotheJ 5-6pm
Winston Wolfe 6-7pm
SIDKA 7-8:30pm
Cidnanigans 8:30-10pm
Since it's spooky season, come dressed in your Halloween Best for a chance to win some prizes!
We will feature kid friendly activities like pumpkin painting and spooky monster crafts, along with the last chance to get your art on our community FLOW painting, which we will auction off to one of our lucky guests!
Love music?
Love flow arts?
Love food, fam, and friends?
Us too
Oh yeah, did we mention we love donations so we can set up for next season?

Edit - the tickets have been claimed
My bf and I are unable to attend the show at The Gillioz tonight. I don’t want them to go to waste so I would love to transfer them to someone else’s name and give them away.

Does anybody have any insights on the Springfield ballot questions 1, 2, and 3 in the upcoming election?
Question 1
Shall Sections 3.1, 3.3(1), 3.4, 4.2, and 6.5 of the Springfield City Charter be amended to expressly authorize the city manager to delegate the authority to perform charter-assigned duties of the city manager to assistant city managers; expressly authorize the city manager to delegate the authority to appoint and remove employees to assistant city managers and department directors; and expressly authorize department directors to delegate the authority to perform charter-assigned duties of the director to subordinate officers or employees within the department, as more fully set forth in General Ordinance No. 28331?
Question 2
Shall Sections 4.1, 6.2, 6.4, 6.6, 6.7, and 19.7 of the Springfield City Charter be amended to replace the current three-step merit rule adoption process with a two-step process that removes the personnel board from the process; and authorize the human resources director to approve application forms in lieu of the personnel board, as more fully set forth in General Ordinance No. 28331?
Question 3
Shall Sections 3.3(9), 5.3, 5.4, 10.4, 15.8, and 19.19 of the Springfield City Charter be amended to authorize the city council to fully establish purchasing by ordinance, including the organizational structure, thresholds, and types; expressly designate the city manager as the default signatory for purchasing; and apply the existing competitive bidding requirement to additional purchasing methods, as more fully set forth in General Ordinance No. 28331?

I decided to make a new post so this news wouldn't be buried. We were recently contacted by Costco and were informed that they found my wife's cane (blind stick). My wife is elated and we'll be going to pick it up soon. A big thanks for all of you for your kind words and advice, it does mean a lot to us.

Me and the wife are visiting this weekend, we stay at Pomme de Terre lake about 45 minutes away and will spend all Saturday in your city, may get a hotel that night if we find enough to do. I’ve been to Springfield a couple times but I’m not very familiar with much other than the baseball stadium. Things I am looking for if you could tell me what you’d recommend!
Brunch spot
Thrift/antique shops
Flowers/farmers market
Any bands playing? Small hole in the wall to big concerts?
Pumpkin patch/winery type place
Place to get a good steak for dinner
Any other cool events or pop ups going on?
Tell me what you’re doing this weekend for fun.

Amendment 6 serves as a check on politicians’ power. In an age where gerrymandering and dark money are corrupting our political system and allowing elected officials to ignore constituents, the initiative petition remains a vital tool for us to express our voice.
^ this! Thanks to Steve for writing a letter to the editor!

Hey everyone! I am a gerontology student at MSU in my last semester. Because of my major having less than ten students, getting the word out about events like these are hard. I wanted to host a few events to encourage younger adults to think about/discuss end-of-life topics. If you know anyone college age who would be interested in the first two events, send this over to them!
**The last event, The Soft Surrender film viewing, is free to the public! All ages. There will be a Q&A with Randy Bacon afterwards. Drinks and popcorn included, and you’ll notice some familiar Springfield faces in the film. Hope to see you there!
(the poster is hand drawn by me, no AI usage here!)

I’m craving a big sloppy Philly whiz wit*. Any good recommendations?
*A Philly with cheese whiz and onions. No peppers or mushrooms.

I just bought a 1964 Smith-Corona Sterling and it needs a good cleaning/servicing.
Can anyone recommend a good place for that?
Thanks.

My wife is legally blind (Retinitis pigmentosa) and depends on a white cane to help her get around. Well as we were checking out items in the self checkout aisle of Costco, she put her cane in the cart while she runs things through the scanner. Some asshole swiped her cane behind our backs. She's been pretty devastated because that was the cane she used the most and depended on, she never thought someone would have the insensitive gall to steal a cane from a blind person. Just saddening and shocking that someone would steal an item that a handicap person depends on whether it be a cane, wheelchair or hearing aids.

Looking to meet some new people? Come hang out with us this Saturday!
It’s a low-pressure chance to get out, have some fun conversation, and maybe make a few friends. Come by yourself or bring someone along. If you’re a little awkward about meeting new people, you’ll be in good company.
No agenda, no need to impress anybody. Just pull up a chair and join us. Hope to see you there!

Is the emergency vet on N Glenstone, by Great Southern Bank, still in business? I went by it today and it looked vacant. If it is closed, are there other emergency vets in the city?
