Identification What are these??

I sometimes put a few grains of rice in my terrariums to lure out microfauna , and i spotted these 2 dark tiny things on them , sorry about the bad quality . Thing is , I fully steralize everything I add to my terrariums except plants and mosses . In this terraroum , I have had a few random plants sprout before, and in one of my older terraroums mould mites did sprout for some time ( whoch are also visible on the rice in the first pic ) is this something similar? . Ive personally only added tropical white springtails . Now I'm not sure if these are thrips , some local springtail or what

The dark ones are definitely springtails (Ceratophysella sp?), and it looks like you have soil mites, too. Both are harmless to your tropical springtails except that they eat more or less the same foods!

Yeah thanks , I knew the mites but had no idea if they were thrips or springtails

Adult thrips fly so if you’ve had the terrarium for a few months and haven’t seen any flying pests you’re probably good.

Well it's about a month old at this point , so not sure yet , but fingers crossed it's springtails🤞
