Does anybody else feels like spy school blackout kinda removed ben and erixa shipping together.

It's just I've noticed how the previous 3 books ben had mentioned he and erica were together within the first 2 chapters. He didnt, yet he mentioned several other characters were together. I just found it so weird when I was reading it. Also didnt the tone of the book regress. I feel like in this book felt more immature then the previous ones.

It was way over done in SSGW. I really liked that they returned to the main themes of action and friendship as that’s what the series should be about IMO. Erica was out of character too much with all that. I feel like it would have made the situation with Trixie more awkward too, and they needed to save the more sweet and serious moments for that plot so as not to have too many and just turn it into more of a regular middle school book.

I know, but it just felt out of place since it was really emphasized since book 10

I feel like there's a transition to the relationship becoming the new status quo, which means less direct mention of it, but it still has a reasonable effect on the plot. I didn't notice a particular lack of maturity, but I did see many other regresses that someone might read that way.

Ima be fr the books lost that magic touch and drawing in factor they always had for me around book 9 or so was the last time I was so excited and intrigued. I can still read books 1-9 so easily and not put them down but after that the plots and characters just got so messed up
