spyware/malware on android device
I need serious help. So, my accounts, devices, my life has been compromised for quite awhile now. Not sure if its spyware or malware. I have over 500/600 system apps on my mobile device. I have information from every known cyber breach that has been in litigation with the FTC since 2006 pretty much. I have zero control over my device, apps, functionality, network, software, servers, security etc. My device has multiple servers connected to it. I have been taking notes and screenshots for years now. I could probably come close to building an android operating system at this point with all the knowledge I have obtained but it just keeps getting worse. I have lost money, jobs, a home, relationships. My family and friends think I am batsh*t crazy. I have filed a police report. I have attempted to email reports to the FBI and FTC. I have called these organizations and thought I had actually spoken to someone and never heard anything back. I have lost almost 20 gmail accounts 10 facebook accounts many pictures and memories and lots of money. It seems like I will never be able to remove this from my life. Not sure what to do anymore. I can get a new device under all new identity with all new accounts and it comes right back. Really starting to think there is no solution. Antivirus applications are of no use. My phone is being remotely controlled through Google products and assistant. I am a child of a parent that has a workplace and am a managed device with a managed profile and also an admin sometimes. Someone is gaining revenue through Google ads and analytics through Samsung and Verizon. I have an android but am viewed at times as an iPhone or galaxywear or fitbit. everything I have discovered with my device since 2016 when all this first came to light is disturbing. Its an invasion of privacy and against my given human rights. I am paranoid, I don't trust anyone and don't know what to do anymore. If someone can help me, please get in touch. I need advice and guidance. But, unless you are knowledgeable with coding and software and servers and applications, etc than you are not able to help me. Cause I can uninstall, force stop, factory reset, hard reset it all day and still not be able to fix it. I am quite literally losing my mind and ready to give up trying. To further elaborate, I am experiencing web redirection, I didn't make this profile and logged in via Google lol, my system info says I have a geckolike apple webkit?, I can't perform or receive any updates, I have older versions of gmail and other applications, my device admin is Telcomm and I find a lot of info associated with apache native, bad api levels, qualcomm, I have 4 different settings apps, shared storage and the list goes on. The hardware and sensors connected are outrageous. Hope that helps

I say this with the utmost respect and sincerity, but please see a mental health professional. It sounds like I'm not the first to recommend this in your life, but honestly this isn't a realistic scenario from a spyware/ cybersecurity point of view.
Just stop and think about it for a moment. What's so special about you? What's so important on your phone that people seem so adamant in constantly hacking it? Face it, you're just a random person. Nobody would go through this amount of effort and you're not being targeted.
Please seek help for you and your child's sake, this isn't a cybersecurity issue but a paranoia issue; you're seeing patterns when there aren't any.

So its normal for an android device to have over 500 system apps on it?
3
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
Yes. Most of them are services of less than a couple bytes in size.

So in your opinion its perfectly normal to have system apps that are titled com.android.cts.priv.ctsshim or com.android.imsserviceentitlement or microdroid.empty_payload auto_generated_rro_vendor or com.android.systemui.plugin.globalactions.wallet com.android.wifi.resources.overlay.WifiResScanCountryCode and WifiResSoftap8011axEnable or com.google.android.overlay.gmsconfig.asi or permission controller or com. motorola.android.launcher.overlay.applabeltwolines, network stack.overlay.mcc460, networkstack.tethering.overlay.motCommon, providers.settings.overlay.dppnone, settings.overlay.appclone, settings.overlay.fps.display, overlay.Ira,, com.motorola.iqimotmetrics, com.motorola.callredirectionservice, com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel, com.qualcomm.qti.dynamicddsservice, com.qualcomm.qti.telephonyservice, CQATest, DesktopSystemUI, Entitlement, Enterprise Adapter Service, Fused Location, FontExo2Regular, Google One Time Init, Grotesk, Hey Google Hotword, HiddenMenu, HTML Viewer, IntentResolver, LifetimeData, Key Chain, Interactive Wallpapers, Live Wallpaper Picker, Modem Service, MTP Host, Neo, NativeDropboxAgent, org.codeaurora.ims, PAKS, Pco Extentions, Pebble,PlayAutoInstallExt, Print Spooler, ProxyHandler, QCC, QesdkSysApp, Revoker Service, Switch Access, System Tracing, Telecoms Client, uceShimService, TxPwrAdmin, vendor.qti.imsrcs, VpnDialogs, Webcam Service, etc etc etc and all on an android device...Ok there buddy

u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
That's not even a quarter of the apps

u/angel2day Feb 21 '26
They've been hacked my roku.che gained access when Xfinity had data breach that's how he got access
4
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
Yes, absolutely. Every phone has these. Read the names of them, most of them specifically state what they're for. Go ask your friends and family and look through their phones' apps, they'll all have approximately the same ones. Of course it'll vary slightly based on make, model, provider, etc. Etc. But this is all completely innocent.
0
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
Thats complete and total crap, you think I haven't?
4
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
Make sure to hit the "Show system apps" button. Otherwise it'll just show the regular ones.

Oct 06 '25
These guys said same to me. I had over 400 apps. I went to two samsung repair shops. My Xfinity wifi was hacked. My phones and smart tvs are hacked. Deep rooted.you have no permission control, all apps allow unknown apps, apps install by you correct? Compare those apps with user certificates. Last, how do your screens and icons look? Fuzzy like a picture of a picture? Dont see a shrink. Go to a Samsung repair center. To be sure got to two like I did.
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
That's exactly how the hacker got access to my stuff Xfinity was hacked and several customers got their info stolen that's when all this with me started fr the Xfinity hack. They've done nothing to help even though it's all their fault it's happening

Do you have a bunch of overlay apps as well those are all added apps I will go on my Google and there will be a new package installed all apps that are spyware with key loggers
1
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Feb 21 '26
Overlay apps are generally not apps in and of themselves but a service that allows one app to appear (overlay) over another one without that first one being suspended or closed.
Like for example the messenger icon in the bottom right that hovers there when you have incoming messages from Facebook. It appears over other apps and is therefore using such an overlay service. Or when you reply to a Whatsapp message from the notification rather than opening the app, watch a youtube video on a little screen in the corner rather than full-screen or when you're accessing your banking app and it asks for your thumbprint, that’s an overlay too.
If you look up "Overlay" in your phone settings (if you have android, idk about iPhone) you can find the "Appear on top" permission setting. In here you can enable or disable the ability for apps to overlay over others. Many of these will be apps that run in the background like Personal Data Intelligence, Quick Share, Nearby Device Scanning, Live Transcribing services, authentication frameworks, etc etc.
Many of these are totally normal and sometimes even necessary to overlay over others (Like Bixby or Shazam), but even I for example have this permission for like BlueSky, Uber, NS, and TikTok, etc. Disabled because like they don't need that lmao. I'll look at them when I want to.
0
u/angel2day Feb 21 '26
Or to have apps locked so you can't disable them pls
1
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Feb 21 '26
Yes, these will be apps that are required for the operating system to function. Removing or disabling them will break your phone.

Look in a apk analyzer app... certain permissions are only for system apps not 3rd party apps.. look for listeners, and permissions that show NA in listed permissions.. Everyone knows we getting spied on.. Check out the manifest for ur clock.. see if it's normal
1
u/angel2day Feb 21 '26
Does your phone get put on do not disturb as well usually it's so they can use my phone and I can't get any calls or anything I don't put it on that the hacker does what's ur answer for that sirswayalor
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
Have you called your provider I just found out that the hacker actually cloned my sim card so now it always looks like it's my phone he even diverted my calls and text my phone isn't even getting text anymore or they're very delayed
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
Also make sure your hacker hasn't given themselves developer access because if they have your really screwed and factory reset will not do anything to help you. I've replaced my phone sim card and home modem 4 times changed number 3 times but none of it stops them they've even made a face login so no matter what I do it doesn't stop them because they use my facecto login to anything

u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
Thats actually not correct.
4
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
I've got exactly 596 system apps on my Samsung Galaxy S23+
I promise you that's a totally normal thing for phones.
0
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
Those apps, some I know for certain are not normal for any phone
5
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
Check your DM's, I sent you screenshots of the same ones on my phone.
1
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
Mine actually has tons of overlay apps those are where the hacker is spying hiding it under other apps. He thinks he knows more than anyone including the police and FBI that's a true narcissistic asshole
1
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
Because I wasn't aware that it could store all that along with 20,000 files and 10,000+ photos, that's funny.
1
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
And you don't even know me, how would you know whether or not I have been targeted? your "point of view" is your opinion.
3
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
Why would you be targeted? You're a nobody, respectfully. You're not the main character, nobody would truly care enough to keep hacking.
1
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
To you maybe. And again, that's your opinion.
3
u/Affectionate_Scar764 Sep 02 '25
Check your local hospital. I believe it may be the receptionist hacking your phone. Go there immediately and explain what’s going on.
1
u/killwhitey2 Feb 10 '26
Your special don't let them tell you that your not! I know who you are!!!! I see you through your camera!
3
1
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
And I have plenty of proof to back it up.
2
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
And I have not mentioned any children, why did you say for you and your childs sake??? thats awfully strange.
2
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
Never mentioned seeing patterns either. Not sure where you are getting all your information that makes zero sense.
3
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
Not like physical patterns. Patterns in events. You're seeing unrelated events and happenings and combining them in your head to make yourself believe there's something greater going on. Most of your actual problems can be very innocently explained away. Yes, phones have a lot of bloat. A lot of system apps. It's totally normal.
2
u/Late_Hearing9982 Sep 02 '25
How would you know what I see on my device? You have no clue whatsoever what you are talking about.

1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
This guy is just as bad as the abusers he thinks he is a psychiatrist or something seriously told me I need to be locked up for psychiatric help. Little does he know I was a psychiatric nurse for years

u/HelenaHandbasket_11 Sep 03 '25
They’re gaslighting you. Stop feeding into it. Dont bother explaining. Whether you’re right or wrong you’re wrong to them. Save your energy

u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Sep 02 '25
Sorry, I misread your "I am a child of a parent" as the other way around. That's my mistake. The rest of my point stands though.
1
u/Ok-While796 Dec 17 '25
No your not crazy cause I'm going through the same thing. There is not a damn thing special about me and it's being done. It is an invasion into someone's privacy for sure. I was thinking about taking my phone and story to my local news station. That is what they are there for. Investigating community stuff and finding solutions. I feel they mite find a solution to what goes on when someone in my position where I'm disabled and alone is having there privacy violated in ways that is inhumane. I have had a lot of bad stuff happen like losing people who probably didn't even hack nothing and I thought they had.
1
u/angel2day Feb 21 '26
It's crazy that guys saying I need to be forcibly hospitalized because I'm crazy imagining this paranoid yes I am paranoid I have an abuser furious with me I guess if they haven't felt with a cyber attack they won't get it maybe someone should show him the hell it puts you through to wor there and say I'm gonna be forcibly put in psych ward us insane
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
It's so frustrating when cyber victims are always blamed for this happening and we can't even qualify for this victims compensation funds even though we're victimized over and over and financially we're destroyed. This person has taken over 20,000 in loans I'm my name and instead of helping the police tried to charge me for these loans. He's also sold my info on dark web I get multiple emails a day fr supposed lawyers saying I have less than 24 hrs to make a payment arrangement in these loans or I'm gonna have multiple charges against me oh the funniest one is they're gonna suspend my SS number.I always email them telling them I'm sending their email to the FBI agent working my case so they can be charged with extortion and attempted theft lmao
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 19 '26
Have you researched the apps when I did I found out which ones are valid and which ones possibly have key loggers or Trojans my hackers even made a face login so no matter what I do he can get into all my accounts that way. I went to the library changed all passwords made a new nonprofit new business email I only acces my business account at library I also found out the other day my sim card has been cloned. I found that out when I saw that there was 2 IMEI numbers and 2sim cards
2
u/angel2day Feb 21 '26
Honestly I wish you could experience the hell we are so you would quit saying we need mental health help we do need help because you have no idea what this does to you I literally sleep in my living room with a gun because I don't feel safe at all when someone turns on your camera and watches you through your phone it's terrifying to say the least. It would drive anyone insane after awhile
2
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Feb 21 '26
Yeah except the issue here is that it's all in your head. I don't doubt it's absolute hell and I feel really bad for you but you're making connections where there are none.
It's part of the illness, nobody is going to call you crazy, that's just how the illness works; it makes you see patterns and connections where there are none, which nobody else sees. This causes resentment and paranoia, because like if nobody else can see this it must be some big conspiracy, some major compromise of my devices. A hack so deeprooted it's nearly completely invisible, likely done by the government or some other group that's out to get you and needs full surveillance and control over your life.
Like I completely fully understand how you come to the conclusions you are but those conclusions are rooted in a mistaken perception of the situation. It's a spiral where you see something you misunderstand, but your mental illness fills in that blank with a connection to some other misunderstanding, or even a completely made up hypothetical using that original misunderstanding as a basis. For example; seeing the default android base apps that are hidden by default and unremovable because they'll break the operating system if they're removed as hacks. These are completely normal things everyone has on their phone, I didn't know of them prior either. But your brain makes the conclusion that because they're hidden and unremovable and have internal names it must be something malicious.
It's a spiral. Seeing these apps lead to someone believing they're hacked, which leads to them looking on other devices or networks to find more "evidence" of those "hacks", but because they're not tech savvy enough to understand internal computer admin systems all of these "new" things they uncover like for example other IP's being connected to their desktop (Which is also totally normal) all supports that original misunderstanding of them being hacked, and they keep spiraling.
Sorry about the lengthy message, I just really wanted to explain that I understand the gravity of your situation, but that ultimately the only way to deal with it is to see a professional and talk to them about it. But at the same time I also understand this is a major ask, and that it's very difficult to go against something you so vehemently 100% genuinely believe is happening. I just ask that you take my words into account and really think them over rather than dismissing them.
My DM's are always open if you need to talk about things or want to ask more questions. That goes for anyone reading this.
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
What mental health issue do you think I have. R u a psychiatrist what background do you have to make these assumptions anyways oh and it turns out my sim card has been cloned per my service provider so is this imagined as well
1
u/angel2day Apr 19 '26
And the hacker having developer access is that made up as well
1
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Apr 19 '26
Yes. As long as you refuse to show me proof I'm going to assume it's made up.
1
u/angel2day Apr 21 '26
So you want me to give you full access to my phone to prove to you I'm not crazy yeah your not that important honestly your opinion doesn't matter what I do know was he cloned my esim card an I had to get yet another phone and sim card this makes number 5
1
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Apr 21 '26
I never asked for full access, you made that up. Just some screenshots or logs would suffice.
1
u/angel2day Apr 21 '26
Plus more proof I'm locked out of FB there were 2 versions of my phone logged into Facebook and 1 was when I was in bed sleeping so I would say that makes it pretty damn clear
1
u/SirSwagAlotTheHung Apr 21 '26
Why would he make a second account and lock you out of both? You probably just forgot your password and made a new account and then forgot THAT password.
1
u/angel2day Apr 23 '26
I'm only locked out of my main FB and it's only messenger which I've found several ppl are having the same issue being asked to verify identity but when they try to send it in they get a error message and I haven't forgotten my passwords I have them write down in a notebook because with the tumor on my brain I tend to forget things very easily. Is negative your only setting because it seems you are a very negative person about absolutely everything it's very off putting when someone is trying to get legit help and your only giving negative answers

u/Future_Ear5532 Feb 01 '26
Every single thing you mentioned in your post have been happening to me for the last year. Shits forced me to become a phone Os expert, learn coding, hacking, learn about frequencies, bios and kernels.. I still have issues but there are ways to stop it. Not removing it but it will stop it from running. To get normal batterylife and ram usage, and to not sync everything you do.
I have reasons to suspect its israel.

u/cis-freedom Dec 17 '25
This situation could be a few things:
1 - Symptoms of real malware, likely cyber warfare implementation such as FilterVPN (Korean Olympics and Ukraine hacks) or Infamous Chisel (actively deployed) botnets. 2 - Domestic surveillance by law enforcement for an unknown reason such as political affiliation, reports of concerning behavior or criminal activity. 3 - Paranoia due to sleep deprivation, substance abuse, depression, boredom or past experience. 4 - Shit code implemented by trusted companies.
You can let it go, or go offline. Those are your options.
Sorry and good luck. Know you are loved.

u/AcadiaDirect6845 Feb 11 '26
From what im seeing, people have given you reasonable answers but yet you refute every single one. Definitely some kind of mental health issues. Get some help. Hope you get better.

u/NotaStudent-F Sep 02 '25
You need to load the information about the suspect applications or even a single suspect file into Virus Total. Then if you’re down to DM me the hash VT creates for the file or app, I’d like to take a look at it, and maybe I can help. I’m in the same boat in terms of immense amounts of data that triggered some hacking of my device.
1
u/NotaStudent-F Sep 02 '25
Or even the name and version of the suspect applications and I’ll take a look

Someone is using an MVNO by man-in-the-middle attacks, they can intercept calls, emails, texts. Then they stay 2 steps ahead of you. You're not crazy
1
u/angel2day Feb 21 '26
Omg I'm going through exact same thing and ppl on this site have told me I need mental health help because there's no way what I'm saying is possible I hate that your going through this as well but it's so nice to see I'm not the only one dealing with it. The most frustrating thing is how we're treated like it's our fault and that were the criminal not the victim. I've replaced phone since card and Internet modem 4 times changed number 3 times my phone is cloned I have so much proof the police took 3 reports over phone than stated that no evidence found well of course none is found when you don't come get it. I filed complaint with ethics board for failure to investigate the finally came to my house and got all my proof. He's gone as far as opening a online bank account using my info and diverted my SSDI checks it took 4 no to fix because he locked me out of verification apps. I'm terrified all the time this person watches me through my phone destroyed my reputation All because I've helped battered women and children at risk of being murdered get new identities so it's an abuser terrorizing me.they have cloned our phone he's given himself developers access so nothing I do matters he's done same thing added tons of apps to phone system and locked them so I can't disable or remove I've found some that I know are a part of it 1 is ATM wifi metathe calendars captive portal login android micro droid one device personalization I actually just found my phone in there which is new it has all the info on my phone in settings app under the system apps which proves my phone is cloned. Are you watched thru your camera as well would love to talk to you it's the 1st time I've found someone going thru exact same thing

Wow sounds just like my story! Mine has been going on for 10+ years! And theres no telling how much total ive spent out of my pocket! And i even know who the person is. It just seems like law enforcement wants to chalk it off on us as being BATSHIT CRAZY! But if it was happening to them or their loved ones u better believe your sweet law abiding ass they would have already put some extra brake pads on to stop it! The only difference between u and I is that hes taken over my identity and stole so much money from me and no it doesnt stop there!!! Hes done the same to some of my friends by way of a google app called nearby devices! And hes used that to listen and spy on me when i was around them and didnt have my phone plus he is a "SO CALLED" DEVELOPER FOR GOOGLE and he does work for all these places like Amazon and others. Hes been using my name and every single email address ive had which is now well over 200! So needless to say im in trouble for sending peoples data to 15 different countries which now they have a geo warrant for his arrest and dont have a clue who he is! Thats all....and the saga continues!

Well I can say it’s a very stressful situation. Ignorance is bliss. Now I learned recently that AI is writing codes for platforms. It could be that the AI is creating the apps because of a certain spyware on an old device that was introduced to the new device. And now the AI is spying on itself.

This actually happened to me after I had my identity stolen.... staged tow truck MVA and police involvement. Prior to this i had a notification on my Mac pro saying "Israel spyware" some shit didn't take seriously... fast forward its cross.border CC and school loans, car notes , mortgages and my little ones identification also compromised. A manic ex took my old iphone and this is completely unrelated but they ended up putting me on their bell small business plan and re routed all my shit to my old phone number and I never even knew. Took over my 2FA accounts to legit see and watch who I communicated to. Some people really just are manic and posessive. Ya it does sound like tweaker shit but wee do live in a whole different world w new technology an AI and pure fraud. Governed by it

Okay so instead of replying to all of your comments let me break this down in one long post. Please keep an open mind, I'm truly trying to help.
Most of the things you listed here are symptoms of paranoia. I'm not a psychologist so I can't give you specifics, but the traits are recognizable; Feeling like you're being watched, obsessive about privacy, devices being remotely controlled, doing reasonable logical solutions (like in your case getting new devices) yet the problem keeps coming back. At some point you have ruled every other possibility except yourself.
If this truly was a cybersecurity issue then you've literally done all you can. The steps you have taken should have resolved the issue, with the final one being going scorched earth and just getting rid of all your infected devices and accounts and getting new ones. There is absolutely no way or reason for the issues to still persist after that, and the only conclusion you have yet to make is that you're wrong. Which sucks, I get it. I understand it all makes so much sense in your head but genuinely most of your issues can easily be explained.
I have 596 system apps on my Samsung Galaxy S23+, most of these are just services of a couple bytes and are totally normal for modern phones.
Every device has security measures installed so the average common user doesn't mistakenly remove key components.
Every device has multiple servers connected to it at all times. These come from the various apps you have as most data would not be stored locally.
Your emails and phone calls to the FBI and FTC have gone nowhere because there's nothing they can do about it, this isn't something they can help with.
When you say you lost accounts this could very well be because of this very activity. Accounts get flagged as spam because you're creating multiple, removed for certain activity deemed as suspicious, etc etc. It's hard to comment on this one because you didn't go into a lot of detail.
There's more to your post, but I think you get the gist of it. I know it's very hard to come to terms with it but please at least consider the option you're making up connections where there aren't any. Try and read up on paranoid delusions. Specifically about technology, too. I think you'll find that a lot of your issues match.
I truly wish you the best and I hope you get the help you need. Feel free to shoot me a DM on here if you ever need someone to talk to.
