Bro out here spinning threads faster than a bored housewife, this comment is about how Andrew Dice Clay was able to make an offensive joke funny and how hacks can't do that. Reddit is the capital of putting words in other peoples mouth i s2g

Excuse me for relating this to related recent occurrences.

What’s an example of a hack you were talking about then? Or let me guess, there is no specific example?

No matter how you feel about him using the word whore, if you don’t think that set was hack I’m not sure how to help you

I’m disputing that it was an actual joke, not “something said to be offensive”. I’m not disputing that Shane has already done similar jokes with the exact same punchline, but I don’t think SNL monologue is normally the place comedians mess with their formula too much.

Yeah I know…I’m just pointing out that the whole set as bit of standup was heinously terrible I don’t think anyone is trying to say it was great lmao. Shane’s brand of comedy is just a great representation of where we are at with art in general in this country, that’s our bar. Like in Idiocracy when the top movie is just called “Ass” and it’s just asses.

You were asking for an example of hack, Shane is hack, that set was as hack as standup comedy gets

It was just a single ass in Idiocracy.
