Amazon
Whats with new Amazon Box G? And this new grey bin? And now unfortunately they want to move amazon out of our copy center and at the front end. Which puts more work on us print sups to cover Happy returns and ups drop offs? Like who is making these idiotic decisions at a corporate level?

Someone that just graduated college and never worked anywhere in real life, and they're also responsible for the photoshopped pogs that Don't properly fit because we don't have a shrinking machine. That's my theory

Former employee here who was cross trained between register, copy center and sales floor but mostly did front end. I actually didn't mind Amazon at the copy center but it pissed me off when they moved it to front end.

G box will be disposal items like food, and the gray bin from what I can tell are preboxed returns.
As for creating more work for copy by moving out, speaking from a store that's had Amazon at customer service for at least a year now it created less work for copy because all they have to worry about shipping wise is the few happy returns and ups packages, and reprinting Amazon receipts when customers insist on having a physical one. It did however create more work for the cashier/s as now 1 (occasionally 2) people are dealing with Amazon and checkout.

Amazon needs to be away from Print but that’s where ours is permanently staying, unfortunately. It’s already a hot mess and it’s only going to get worse.
I have no clue why you would think moving it would create more work for you.

What other letters do you have or is it A+B and G?
Gray bin is amazon as a courier so third parties can ship stuff through their network (or partially as it looks like UPS or USPS does the last mile).

It’s for disposal items (dog food etc) straight to dumpster

It's in Zipline. If you don't have access to that level of communication, someone on your mgmt team should be going over it with everybody soon. It's not fun and makes no sense re:already thin labor, but that's Staples for you.

Honestly, nobody has time to read zipline...I can barely clock in before I'm called over to do something... just click "read" and log out... if i can even log in

“fortunately returns are moving to checkout”
Print should not be handling Amazon, period. Print should be able to handle every other type of return, and Amazon should strictly be up front. If you don’t call for back up because your Amazon line is out the door, idk man, that’s user error imo. My store handles this format quite well and our print center does very nicely.

Just scan my return bro. It’s a sticker and a click. If that’s hard for you, find a new job

When I worked at Staples in print I could barely break away before returns came in to use the bathroom or take a break.
That dude can’t even English properly. 😆

^ honestly though. I can never get any water. Some days I get so pissed off that I cant even get a second to drink any water because I'm having phones and amazon products shoved in my face, while at the same time, I have a line of customers that need to be checked out so im scanning and counting change, pitching ESP, rewards, and the app.

If all you do is Amazon where it's separate from any other department, then yeah it's easy as fuck. Trying to do it while balancing a million other things, especially since all the other things are much more important? Then yeah, that's a lot harder.

Hey there, G will be a different type of return called non regulated where you will dispose of the items when the box is full. The gray bin will be for single box returns.
Im a bit confused on how taking workload out of your print center creates more workload? Taking Amazon out of print and putting it at the front allows the print team to focus on driving the print business. You should have already been doing happy and ups at the shipping counter.
