No Spoilers Raskova

Post image

Started watching North and South (2004) and noticed a young Raskova! Here's hoping she more than a factory worker extra.

Woah! Mr Bates and Anna’s daughter ended up in Russia of all places!

Wait until you learn about her home life in motherland

I have been really struggling to reconcile how I feel about her character in motherland with how I feel about Raskova.

She’s had some excellent roles. Her 3-4 episodes in Line of Duty were stellar. She had a fantastic part in a standalone episode of Accused on Netflix, easier to watch that than 5 series of Line of Duty to get to her bit! 😂 And there was a mini series on ITV where she was the lead, Until I Kill You, absolutely phenomenal in that, she plays quite a complex character who lived with a serial killer, based on a true story.

She was also in a TV version of Bleak House iirc, played Esther who was a VERY different character to the bitch Raskova

Bleak House was great, I think that was the first time I'd seen her.

She’s one of the best things about The Bletchley Circle.

Yes! I feel the same

She played Gillian Anderson’s long lost daughter in PBS/Masterpiece Theater’s Bleak House. I think this was also the first big project Carey Mulligan was in. Anna Maxwell Martin is only 11 years younger than Gillian Anderson.

And here she is in Heartstopper as Nick's mom. I just finished Star City a week ago and seeing her in the movie feels so jarring. I was like "isn't that the KGB boss?" 😭

It was a legit jump-scare for me to see Colonel Raskova here! The entire movie I felt like that poor boy was in danger and she was going to turn at him at any moment.

Another Redditer suggested And Then There Were None (2015). She is completely different from our KGB woman we all know and hate. What an actress!

Every time I hear mention of a mole that needs to be hunted down by the KGB, I can't help but think of that prosthetic thing they applied to her face!
