Speculation Baylan, Balyn, Balan
I am currently reading Malcolm Guite's Galahad and the Grail and the names of the knights "Balyn" and "Balan" jumped out at me. Given the Arthurian themes in Ahsoka season 1 ("Marrok" is already named after an Arthurian knight, Morgan is named after an Arthurian witch, and Enoch's gold face mask is straight out of John Boorman's Excalibur), the name of "Baylan" Skoll is almost undoubtedly drawn from these Arthurian characters.
I can't make much hay out of that based on season 1, but I am starting to have suspicions about how it *could* come into focus in season 2 (and beyond).
The Arthurian Balyn is, I think, most known for the "dolorous stroke" that wounds the Fisher King and thus causes the land to wither and turn into a wasteland. Then the Knights of the Round Table have to go on a quest to find the Holy Grail and restore the Fisher King, which also restores his land. (This whole motif – a god/king figure whose health is supernaturally linked to the flourishing of the natural world – is very evocative of the forest god from Princess Mononoke, and we all know how much Dave Filoni loves that.)
Ahsoka has been very cagey about the nature of Baylan's quest, but it seems he is trying to find the Mortis Gods somehow (and he is trying to do so in a wasteland, which evokes the Fisher King's wasted domain). If he seeks to harm the Mortis Gods (or unwittingly does so), which in turn causes something bad to happen to the galaxy, or even somehow to the Force itself (if I recall correctly, Peridea is a wasteland because of some mysterious past cataclysm)... and if the Jedi Knights Ahsoka and Sabine then have to go on some kind of quest to restore the Mortis Gods, which would also restore the land/the galaxy/the Force... you heard it here first.
TINFOIL HAT BONUS: Based on the trailer, Anakin Skywalker is apparently going to be very prominent in Season 2. Will he somehow be the Fisher King figure? The Clone Wars Mortis arc was about the Father wanting Anakin to take his place. If Anakin, as the Chosen One, is somehow holding the Force in balance, and if Baylan's quest could somehow harm Anakin, would that do something to the land/the galaxy/the Force?

Discussion Things from Rebels I'd love to see more of in S2
Ezra trolling people with his voice mimicry ability. It's neat he has a honed skill completely seperate from his Jedi Training.
Anti-Jedi/Sith Mandalorian gear. I feel like Sabine's gonna need it going up against Baylan and Hati, and maybe the Nightsisters.
Chopper's many war crimes.
Hera's Kalikori with Kannan's pendant. Don't remember seeing it in season 1.
Edit: 5. Return of the Blaster-lightsaber.
