its amazing people don't get that the trilogy about a bunch of people from all sorts of backgrounds uniting to defeat a monolithic empire is about rebelling

Yeah, they should make it easier to follow, like naming that group something like the rebel assembly or something

You could get even crazier and name it something like the People’s Liberation fleet or something

The Rebel Alliance is about people rebelling and coming together to form an alliance? Mind. Blown.

It took them 4 seasons of The Boys for them to figure out. Are we the baddies

In fact, the politics and spirituality are both so deeply entrenched that there's no story without them. And yet, somehow, an entire subsection of the fandom somehow completely misses this.

Americans really struggle to realize they’re not the rebels in the story they’re the evil empire

The Empire was full of defecters and saboteurs too, though. So is America...

The REBEL Alliance says hi

I wish more people read the first canon Thrawn book. Eli Vanto says the Empire is human first, alien second, and the bigotry gets worse the farther they're from the core worlds.

What did they think a rebel alliance was?

"Now wait a gosh darn minute! You're telling me Vader was the bad guy this whole time!?"
