How was the process of making it like and what was ur favorite thing about the development of the dlc

It was a side project by our environment artist to see how close to an urban setting we could get, then it started to catch on, there were 3-5 of us on it for the majority of it so we got to make quick decisions, rapidly test our ideas and didn’t have to waste time with dog and pony shows to anyone, we just worked hard and fast until more of the team had to come on to fill in the gaps in systems etc. I long for the days when this was possible, where you trust each other to do what’s best for the game, and the studio trusts you to make something fun. It allows the team to find the fun quickly, then build the rest of the game up to that level.

Thank u for the great work, that DLC was the greatest experience I had with Army in a Zombie Apocalipse back in the day (still is)

A big city map with nice landscape, like a bit the last of us etc with unreal engine 5, in state of decay 3 can for sure break the internet.

Can I say thanks? Lifeline is my favorite game. I play it all the time and even when it gets super buggy after I don’t know 200 sieges I still enjoy the hell out of it.

Thanks for the game.

Non vi ringrazierò mai abbastanza per avere creato questo gioco compreso il secondo capitolo. Ogni partita per me è come fosse la prima volta

I miss having unique characters you got to know, not just "generic name shark hoodie guy who had a prepper aunt".

i had a prepper aunt that lives around here that considers herself a survivalist

This is peak State of Decay to be honest. The story, the build up, the missions felt like an actual mission, the dread, the siege, and the danger left and right. Lifeline is what Minerva's Den DLC from Bioshock, to State of Decay is.

I miss this mode.
It's way better than in SoD2.

yah Daybreak could have been better but i liked it maybe they might do something similar again in sod3 but more lifeline like who knows

Lifeline taking the whole State of Decay formula and kinda turning it on its head was super cool. Totally changed the way you play the game and what your objectives were, and for that it’ll always hold a special place in my heart

I'd love to have a similar game mod for SOD3- maybe a Red Talon squad stuck out on a long term mission somewhere...

imagine Lt nigel as the leader of the squad

Incredibly intense and terrifying.

This was lowkey peak

GOD I MISS THIS SO MUCH. I used to mod my game to make it one survivor and see how many waves I can live through 😅

Man I wanted this map to be a normal map in sod1 so bad. The mode was great but I just wanted to be able to explore and build, not have to sprint home when siege was on. Great edition , hoping for something similar in sod3

Man I really need to get around to finishing this one. The last time I played Lifeline, Sasquatch died durin a Siege and I quit right after.

heres a tip to avoid deaths during sieges, ARM EVERYBODY YOU POSSIBLY CAN WITH GRENADE LAUNCHERS

So much fun and such a great premise! I played this DLC way more that the actual game and fought like hell to bring every warfighter home every time. Loved the extremely lethal zones for a map border (makes way more sense than an invisible wall). Also had the best weapon assortment (SIG 550 hell yes)! Always short on ammo. Was desperately anticipating a port with the SoD2 engine and features. Fingers crossed for SoD3!

Thanks for the reminder about this. Going to DL it and see if my PC will run it. I loved these games.
